known as Ancient Greek play writer. His seven plays survived out of
120. He is famous for use of tragic irony. Oedipus Rex and Antigone
is one of his impressive work. He done many changes in Greek
tragedy like increased the number of speaking actors, also increased
the number of chorus members.

Theme of Oedipus Rex is that ancient Greeks has firm that
God knows everything about future. However, here Oedipus faces
his downfall because of his pride and arrogance. He believes himself
blindly, he thinks that he has to skill to trick the God, did not listen
his wife, and ruins his life.
