- Who are your favorite singers or poets? Why do you like them?

My favorite poet is the mystic poet, Rumi. I like his poems because they all talk about love. I think his
poems are so inspiring. His poem depicts love as a great power inside the human heart. His poems
also deeply connected with Islam. His poems often contains God love with his creature and complete
surrender to god. They show islam in a different tint.

- Which is your favorite song? Why do you like it?

My favorite poem is an anonymous poem written by Jalaluddin Rumi. Trust me, this poem is so good.
It’s a poem describing rumi mystical experience. I can’t describe it by myself. However, the poem is so
spell-binding.

- Are lyrics and music equally important to a song or not? Why?

In my humble opinion, I think both are equally important. There are few songs that sounds good, but I
don't like it because the lyrics diverge with my values. But good lyrics without a good music sucks too.

- What do you think is important for a song? lyrics or music?

I think music is more important than lyrics for a song. Because what differentiate a song and a poem
that songs is set to music, while a poem doesn’t need music. Music is essential to songs. If lyrics or
words are the point of interest, it would rather be a poem rather than a song.

- Who are your favorite singers or poets? Why do you like them?

• My favorite singer is Tulus, because besides his good voice. The songs are full of meaning. Every
song he makes has a very deep meaning, and also has a positive, comfortable and peaceful impact on
the listeners. that's why i like Tulus

- Which is your favorite song? Why do you like it?

• My favorite song is called Monokrom, because it is full of meaning and reminds me to be

grateful and to wish each other goodness for every meeting with the people we meet.

- Are lyrics and music equally important to a song or not? Why?

• I think yes, because basically a good song is when the lyrics and the music relate to one
another. but lyrics and music play an important role in a song because it can help listeners convey
what they are feeling and thinking at the moment.

- What do you think is important for a song? lyrics or music?

• while music is more influential on feelings. Personally, I think lyrics are more important than
music, because with lyrics we can change a person's perspective, also good lyrics (containing positive
words) will influence us to act positively. but music is also very influential on a song, so lyrics and
music are related to one another.

- Who are your favorite singers or poets? Why do you like them?

My favorite singer is Mossa from Nercy Talkie. I like her kind of voice, it's kind of shrill and kind of
scattered i can't explain more but i like her voice. She's good playing with guitar.

- Which is your favorite song? Why do you like it?

From Nercy Talkie i like Chakapoko. When i heard it for the first time It has weird lyrics and quite
funny. Until now i don't understand what the lyrics mean. But i like it the way she and the rest
member bring the song/sing the song, it has such a great spirit.

- Are lyrics and music equally important to a song or not? Why?

I agree with Saleh and Arief opinions. Yes they are equal, if both lyrics and musics are good, the songs
will be more interesting to hear.

- What do you think is important for a song? lyrics or music?

It's hard decision, the lyrics and the Music are complimenting each other. Some songs that I like
because of the lyrics, and some songs that I like because of the music. But if i have to choose one, i
think rather choose music besides lyric. Because i enjoy the music more and music can express song
with it own language.

- Who are your favorite singers or poets? Why do you like them?

My favorite singer is Rose. She has a sweet voice. Whatever the genre of the song, she can live the
song, so that the message of the song can be conveyed. And she's good at playing guitar too. I'm
always waiting for her guitar cover, actually.

- Which is your favorite song? Why do you like it?

I always listen to on the ground. It has a up beat backsound, of course with sweet voice by Rose. So
this song certainly makes us vibrant. It has a meaningful lyrics too. That tell us, maybe what we’re
chasing after isn’t necessarily up there at the top. Maybe what we truly need is already in our hands,
right there on the ground.

- Are lyrics and music equally important to a song or not? Why?

Definitely yes, because without good lyrics and music, the song will feel bland and less attractive.

- What do you think is important for a song? lyrics or music?

This is a really hard choice, actually. Because they are related, without good lyrics the message of the
song will be difficult to convey and without good music, the song will feel less interesting. But,
because I had to choose one, I choose music. Because sometimes I enjoy the music more, if I listen to
songs other than English and Indonesian.
