Answer 1:

Judgement: If B delivers rice, it’s legal. But if he delivers opium, it’ll be a void contract since
trading of opium is illegal.

Conclusion: If B delivers rice to A which is a legal branch of this contract, it’ll be legal. But if B
delivers Opium to A, it’ll be a void contract since it’s an illegal to sell opium.

Answer 2:

Judgement: The contract can be considered void due to unlawful consideration.

Conclusion: The contract is illegal as the case involves stealing which is illegal and wrong.

Answer 3:

Judgement: Free consent is an essential of a valid contract.

Conclusion: Upon judgement it can be concluded that, A did not take his daughter’s consent and
it was an agreement without her consent. So, it’s a void contract.

Answer 4:

Judgement: The criminal should be punished or prosecuted as per the crime committed.

Conclusion: The object of this agreement is unlawful and A cannot drop charges on B legally.
Therefore, the agreement is void.

Answer 5:

Judgement: The considerations should be lawful.

Conclusion: The agreement between A and B is void based on illegal object. Mr B cannot
publish the article if he wants.

Answer 6:
Judgement: Any act or promise stands unlawful if they are against public services and affects the
general public.

Conclusion: An agreement to pay money in exchange for a job in public service is illegal and
opposes the public policy. The agreement is void and the people involved can be accountable for
it.

Answer 7:

Judgement: It’s a bilateral mistake and the agreement is void.

Conclusion: As per the judgement it can be concluded that, it’s a bilateral mistake as both A and
B were uncertain of the death of C at the time of contract. So, it’s a void contract.

Answer 8:

Judgement: B can sue A in the court as he agreed to sell the painting in the first place.

Conclusion: Mr B can file a specific performance suit as Mr A refused to sell the painting before
any payment was made and therefore monetary compensation would not be implied.
