Religious Discussion

To begin with, I observed that Biblical writers described justice in different ways and

they became so important in the development of Israel. On top of that, some of the ways that

biblical writers described justice are the following:

 Biblical writers described justice by comparing them to a thing like "rock" to proves

its solidity.

"The Rock, His work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without

iniquity, just and upright is he." (Deuteronomy 32:4).

 They also described justice by equalizing it to love, good deeds, and humbleness.

"He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice,

and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8).

 They also described it as a way of helping others or charity.

"Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, and please

the widow's cause," (Isaiah 1:17).

Moving on, justice is so important in the development of Israel because it developed their

personality, created unity, and improved their standard of morality. Learning justice, Israel

(people) became more aware of what, how, and why they act, say, and think of something. They

have learned to value others not just their own interest. Most of all, they have learned to be

united as one nation of God.

Apart from that, Prophets were so important in Israel to the point that their contributions

are recorded in the bible. Furthermore, the prophets served as the messenger of God to his people

since God was no longer showing his face to the people since Adam and Eve have sinned, so he

needed a messenger to continue to guide his people-- and they are the prophets (i.e., Joshua,
Samuel). Besides that, when we say Covenant, it means an agreement but when we say Biblical

covenant it means an agreement between God and Israel. Biblical covenant has been a great way

for God to prove to his people that he is a just, loving, and dependable Lord. It is also a great

way for God to build a good and strong relationship with his people. Finally, the covenant has

established Israel as a Holy nation. Through the covenant, Israelites continued to worship God

and became more faithful to Him that hinders them from doing evil things or committing sins

that made them stayed as a holy nation. So, these are just some of the ways that a covenant

became so important in maintaining Israel's good relationship with God.
