Atlanta is rapidly growing and expanding every day. Roads are expanding and many people must drive
and commute to work over 66 miles a day.

Yes, I like the look of Glenwood Park. There are a variety of houses and scenery, as well as many
sidewalks. It looks very different from a traditional neighbourhood of lined up houses and the porches in
front of many homes are much more beautiful to look at than traditional garages and garbage.
4. What aspects of liveability or advantages of Glenwood Park are listed by the people in the video?
There are sidewalks for people to walk to be safe from cars, as pedestrians are often unsafe walking
across the middle of roads in Atlanta. Additionally, Glenwood Park is safe from crime. There are porches
at the front of houses so people can utilize their front doors more often rather than their garages like other
Atlanta houses. Allowing many people to get to know their neighbours and families and socialize much
more. It provides a larger sense of community. There is always someplace to go and eat as well as to talk.
Community-based design with retail and food in comparison with “suburbia” where you have to drive to
find a restaurant.
5. How does the design of Glenwood Park promote good health of the people who live there?
The design of Glenwood Park promotes increased physical activity with many parks and sidewalks. There
is also less driving because restaurants and retail stores are a walk away, so many people enjoy walking
outside rather than driving. Less driving and cars also allow or improved air quality. Less driving, thus
improving air quality.
