Firstly, People who learn from their teacher get more advantages in terms
of new lessons. Teachers or supervisors have a job that purposes to
acknowledge their students or workers their lessons from the start which
means new lessons. For example, when I was in school as a student, I
learned many lessons that I never learned before, those all new for me,
from my teacher. Hence, getting new lessons is the reason people should
learn from their teacher.
On the other hand, learning things from peers, such as school fellows or
co-workers, would give advantages as well in terms of more understanding
the lesson they learned and finding what they missed. Peers also could
teach people something, those are nothing new, yet things that they
missed when they learned from teachers. They, moreover, could share
things that they understand with each other, so nothing would be left not
to understand. As an Illustration, when studying, something unavoidable
could distract the students' focus - being sleepy, talking with friends, etc,
and by this, they might miss things in the study. To overcome this, many
teachers encourage their students to make a discussion, which makes them
share or learn from each other, to understand the study more and get what
they missed.
