Hello everyone!

Mean Mechanics has brought to you, your first-ever competition under the club. Now that you
know Arduino, various circuit components, and the ways to use them, it’s time to use them to
excel in this competition. We hope that you are exploring things on your own as well. You will be
given three tasks. You are free to choose any one of them. You are required to complete it
during the duration of the competition.

Remember, you need to be creative and innovative in order to win the competition.

Following are the tasks for the competition:

● Captain Jack Sparrow is all set for his new adventure. His next target is a hidden
treasure that belongs to an old pirate. The old pirate has heard a lot about the Mean
Mechanics club from his source from the future. Now, he wants you to design a big safe
in order to keep his treasure safe.
Your task is to design a safe (just make the circuit) that has 2 layer security i.e 2 stages
entrance and exit. One can not use the entrance for an exit. You can use servo motors
to represent the door at each stage. Following are the points you should keep in mind

- User should be able to cross a door only if he/she knows the correct way to do
so.
- One of the 4 doors should take a numeric password as an input
- You are free to design the other three doors as your choice. You can be creative
over here.
- A buzzer should ring if a user fails to cross any of the 4 doors.
● You might have played a number guessing game in your childhood where your friend
thinks of a number and you try to guess the number.
This time you have to have to use the method of hit and trial using the best approach
and guess the number that the user is thinking of. Once you find the exact number, it
should be displayed on the 7 segments LED display.

● Most of you might have watched the Tom and Jerry episode where Tom designs a
loooong trap to catch Jerry. In that trap, one thing causes the other thing to happen and
a series of such events is created. Such types of setups are called Rube Goldberg
machines.
Your task is to design a Rube Goldberg machine using the components available on
TinkerCad. You are free to decide the final outcome of the setup.

● Other. Anything you find to be interesting.

Things to keep in mind :

- You can use the serial monitor input method where ever numeric input is required.
- You can take help from the resources available to you if required.

Duration of the competition: 24 hrs (7 PM, 02/01/2021 - 7 PM, 03/01/2021)
