I am least proud of Canada for not doing more, to save more & prevent citizens of Rwanda from genocide. The
UN’s failure to protect Rwandans was by far one of the greatest failures in history. More than half a million of the
Tutsi population was wiped out within 100 days. Many people were slaughtered, especially children. Soldiers
witnessed the horrific events that emotionally & mentally scar them for life. Churches altars became the main
places of execution. Reconciliation & forgiveness is a major challenge that will remain for a long time.
