Activity: 1 Reflection in Field Study Introduction

Reflection
Based on what I have learned today morning about the introduction of Field Study, we had
given the definition and discussed what is Field Study, as it is a method of collecting data about
users, users need, and the product requirements that involves observation and interviewing.
Lessons and discussions under this subject are a great opportunity to know who will be the
learners and what they stand point.
Other field of the study is to look and observe the environment, the main point of this is to
have main contact with the learners, as well as to conduct observation and physical aspects of
the school.
Prof. Christine Sisnorio had discussed and mentioned in the class about the legal and Historical
foundations of the Field Study. She even gave us the courses of Field Study and the 3 major
topic which are SOCIAL CONSTRUCTION OF KNOWLWDGE which means the learners will work
the activities which they are guided or instructed by the teachers, SOCIAL LEARNING THEORY
means asserted that learning takes place not only through their imitation but as well as through
observation means he or she learned it from the experience. REFLECTIVE EDUCATION means
whatever you observed and whatever you analyzed with the study this takes place a vital role in
the growth and developmental of the teachers. The last part of the discussions was the
Approach to the field study. The OAR approach, we use to the acronym OAAR to represent the
general cyclical pattern of the task that the students are expected to do. Through this it helps us
to verify the behavior of the learner and the actual learning activity.
As a Future Teacher it provides us the opportunities to connect with the teaching theories and
principles of learning, it also gives us an idea how to observe this principle of teaching and
learning is applied.
