INSTRUCTIONS ON BURNER TILTING TURN BUCKLES

For tilting of burners, turnbuckles have been provided in all


comers in place of power cylinders/chain blocks.

To tilt burner nozzles up turnbuckle nut assembly has to be rotated


in clockwise direction and to tilt nozzles down turnbuckle has to be
rotated in anticlockwise direction.

Directions of rotation are specified as viewing from top.

Nozzles of each corner may be tilted independently by rotating the


nut assembly not more than a turn at a time. Nozzles of all corners
to be tilted equally within 2o position. i.e. all four turnbuckles to be
rotated one by one equally and not exceeding one full turn at a
time.

For tilting nozzles by 7o, each turnbuckle has to be rotated by


approximately 3.5 rotations.

After completion of tilting to the required position, tilting lever to


be locked in respective hole in locking plate.
