Final Exam - Speaking Video: Talking about my Daily routine and describing

how to make breakfast (25%) (Hablando de mi rutina diaria y de como


preparar el desayuno)

Hi everyone!

In this activity you can practice your communications skills in English about daily
routines, simple present tense, demonstratives, and adverbs of frequency mainly.

VIDEO REQUIREMENTS:

 Length: minimum 1 minute and maximum 1.5 minutes.


 Maximum 2 cuts inside the video.
 You should appear all the time and within a full body shot without nothing
in your hands.
 You must speak in English all the time.
 Greet your teacher and classmates and say your name (Hi everyone! My
name is Alexander)
 Talk about your daily routine: describe at least 5 activities including your
favorite free time activity. Include details about places, time, people, so
on. You must speak in simple present tense. Use correct adjective order, and
adverbs of frequency (minimum 3).
 Invite to your viewers to prepare a breakfast. Name the dish or dishes that
you are going to prepare. You must do minimum 5 simple actions
showing and telling how to do them at the same time. During your speech,
you must name minimum 5 ingredients and minimum 5 verbs related
to making a breakfast. Don´t spend time waiting for cooking the food;
prepared them previously if it´s necessary. Don´t spend much time
performing the activities (Speaking is more important). Use simple present
tense. You must be clear and accurate.
 Use a farewell to close the video.
 Upload not only the video, but also the script.

HOW TO MAKE THE VIDEO:

1. Prepare a script taking care of the grammar structure and vocabulary (do
not copy and paste from internet: that´s evident)
2. Use Google translator or another tool to listen and practice your
pronunciation (check the “Pronunciation Resources” in the
“Announcements” section.
3. Use keywords to make a list of talking bullets and print it out.
4. Try to practice the guide out loud with another person. Be attentive to speak
for the required time.
5. Ask somebody (for example, a friend) for help to record the video: it is a
short video.
6. Finally, relax, take a breath, and record the video trying to use as much
words as you can.
7. You should talk in English all the time, NO READING. You shouldn´t wear
headphones during the video. Nobody should be talking to you in English.
8. Consider that this video can be watched for your classmates.

HOW TO UPLOAD THE DELIVERABLES:

 Create a YouTube, One Drive or another format video.


 Create a new participation Forum by clicking on “Añadir un nuevo tema
de discusión”
 Write in the field “Asunto”, My video
 Write in the field “Mensaje”: “Please find attached my video”
 Select the sentence ““Please find attached my video”:

 Click on the link botton “link”:


 Copy the link from Youtube or Onedrive and paste it in the
corresponding field. Click on “Abrir en nueva ventana” and finally, click
on “crear enlace”.

 Paste the script in the “Mensaje” field or upload the file in “Archivos”
by clicking in the box:

Click on “Seleccionar archivo”


Select the file in your PC and click on “Subir este archivo”
Upload the File “Script” and click on “Enviar al Foro”.
