BASIC COMPETENCIES
1.1 Identifying social functions, text structure, and linguistic elements of oral and written interpersonal
interaction texts that involve greeting, saying goodbye, saying thanks, and apologizing, and responding to
them, according to the context of their use.
2.1 Compose a very short and simple verbal and written interpersonal interaction text which involves
greeting goodbye, saying anchoviesI love and apologize, and responding to it by paying attention to social
functions, text structure, and linguistic elements that are correct and in context.

1. Grateful for the opportunity to learn English as the language of instruction for international
communication which is manifested in the spirit of learning.
2. Demonstrate polite and caring behavior in carrying out interpersonal communication with teachers and
friends.
3. Understand the social function, text structure, and language in the expressions of greeting, saying
goodbye, thank you, and apologies, as well as their responses, according to the context in which they are
used.
4. Compose simple spoken text to express and respond to greetings, goodbyes,  sayings thanks, and
apologies, by paying attention to social functions, text structure, and linguistic elements that are correct and
in accordance with the context.
