Since 1920 we have been providing agency and cargo services on the West coast of North America.
Originally focused on the Pacific Northwest we now have offices at each major US and Canadian
West coast port. The roots of ACGIShipping Inc. can be traced to three historic shipping companies,
Anglo Canadian Shipping, Greer Shipping and International Shipping. In May of 2009 these three
companies came together under the name of ACGI Shipping Inc.
ACGI Shipping is headquartered at Vancouver, B.C. At this office you will find senior management,
our centralized accounting department, and also our IT department. With a staff of 35 the
Vancouver office provides support to all Port Service Centers.
Our management system provides coastal consistency while also allowing each office to tailor their
services to the unique needs of their customers and the port. Each office has a General Manager
who is also part of the operations team and reports to senior management for operational and
administrative support and review.
Our Cargo Services divisions are also headquartered at our Vancouver office and include a full time Port
Captain and a Supercargo on staff to meet the cargo supervision needs of our customers. We also offer a
comprehensive freight forwarding and cargo logistics division that operates under the name
of ACGI Cargo Logistics.
To facilitate communication with our customers we have a company wide communication and
computer system with coastal redundancy backup that allows fast recovery in the event of a
natural disaster or other threats. To streamline our processes we have centralized most vessel
accounting functions at head office and have experienced vessel accountants assigned to each
account. This ensures continuity of accounting related matters and the timely production of
accurate disbursement accounts.

The Ottawa International Airport Authority manages, operates, maintains and invests in the
Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport under a long term lease with the federal
government. The Airport Authority is a non-share capital, community-based corporation. It is

Position Summary Administers Customer Service Scheduling and payroll programs, co-ordinates
Recruitment & Selection process, Orientation and Training for Associates and performs compliance
tasks as outlined by Wal-Mart policies, programs and government guidelines. Personnel Managers are
available and seek to educate and give advice to management and associates on people policies and
procedures as they relate to their area of responsibility,. They are an accessible resource to associates
to answer questions or give advice on where to seek support to resolve concerns, questions and meet
needs. Position Responsibilities Customer Service Scheduling / Payroll Inputs sales forecasts into the
SMART system Calculates all wage adjustments on appropriate forms and obtains Store Managers
signature of approval. Enters pay increases and status changes in the SMART system accurately and
on time. Inputs Manager defined shifts Enters status changes (i.e. new hires terminations etc.) into the
SMART system. Inputs exceptions (i.e. time-off, leave of absence, availability, job codes, vacations
etc.) Prints the FT/PT exception report on behalf of the management team to assess if associates are
working the proper number of hours for their given status and documents all exceptions. Inputs
Associate availability. Prints scheduling reports to be worked by store management team. Inputs
changes by store management team. Finalizes and posts schedules. Edit time keeping for vacation,
sick pay etc. (enters time adjustment sheets) Updates sick log. Maintains payroll hours in the SMART
system. Completes vacation pay tracking and input. Completes any necessary adjustments and
finalizes payroll. Prints store staffing comparison report for the management team to review/action.
Prints attendance tracking report. Recruitment & Selection Partners with management and is aware of
recruitment needs both immediate and seasonal needs supporting recruitment activities to meet the
needs of the business. correctly. Creates a personnel file for each new Associate as per guidelines.
Administers Associate benefits. Enters new Associates into the payroll system. Maintains Orientation
supplies (i.e. Associate vests, forms, badges, clips, toe caps, back support belts, etc.) Training Keeps
the Training Room clean and organized at all times. Ensures all Training Guides and Training videos
and materials are available and up-to-date. Ensures all training equipment is available and
functioning. (i.e. TV, VCR/DVD player, satellite, CBL terminals etc.) Co-ordinates the training of
new and experienced Associates through the management team. Ensures that the hourly associate
development plan matrix is set up for all new associates and completed forms filed in their personnel
file. Follows up with management to ensure that initial training is completed. Ensures that the
Sponsor Program is functioning in the store. Works with Associate sponsors to determine what type
of training each new Associate needs according to the Hourly Associate Development Plan Matrix.
Co-ordinates
timely completion of CBL’s for associates and follows up with management. Administrative &
Compliance Honors the “Statement of Confidentiality” regarding the confidential information in the
personnel files. Maintains personnel files as per guidelines. Maintains and posts the Video Broadcast
schedule and ensures proper programs are taped. Arranges for individual Associates to view pertinent
broadcasts. Tracks and enters completion of Associate Performance Appraisals by the management team
monthly in support of 100% on time goals. (generally 60 days in advance of anniversary date) Maintains
contact with injured Associates and their doctors. Co-ordinates timely completion of Leadership and
Associate Opinion Surveys. Completes Leave of Absence process with management approval. Accurately
and on time completion of Record of Employment. Maintains benefit plan paperwork requirements for:
new FT Associates, re-enrollments, tracks benefit payments for associates on LOA, maternity leave, and
terminated Associates. Supports Associates and Management with their benefits by providing resources
such as: company plan documents, forms, benefit department access, on-line access to programs that are
available to them and change announcements as they happen. Qualifications To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements
