creation, please?
Mark Z: Of course, but first, thanks for the
invitation! As many people know, the
name of the app I created is Facebook. It
was released in 2004 in the United States.
I was 19 years old when it went viral.
Now, there are millions of people on
FACEBOOK.
Journalist: What is so original about your
app?
Journalist: Well, you can find your friends
and relatives just by typing their names,
follow interesting groups, companies and
famous artists. From your account, you
can manage your profile, publish stories,
and upload pictures and videos.
Journalist: I’m not really into technology.
Can you tell me in which digital devices is
Facebook available?
Mark Z: Right now, you can access
FACEBOOK on your computer, tablet,
and cellphone or even on a smart TV!
Journalist: I see now why your creation
became so popular. Thanks for being with

to help with homework.

different types of technological devices.
Then, ask them how they affect our daily

Today we have an interesting theme. We
are going to talk about reading in the
digital age. It is important to mention that
nowadays, the new generation of young
people are not into reading very much.
They prefer to spend time on the Internet,
chatting, uploading and watching posts,
pictures and videos. All these activities
make them lose the ability to concentrate,
so they feel insecure and they are usually
overloaded with information. What can we
do about it? Well … it would be fantastic
if we could lock them up in the closest
library (LAUGHS), but obviously, that is
not an option. That’s why we have to find
a balance between the internet and
reading time. If you would like us to talk
about a specific topic next week, don’t

Do you know how important technology
is in the world right now? It is not only
used to communicate, learn and have fun,
it is also essential to save lives, prevent
damage, and even protect the planet. For
instance there are some technological
devices like the VitalTech watch that is
worn by the elderly who live alone and
may need some help in an emergency. In
medicine, doctors can now access great
medical tools used for difficult surgeries,
checkups, and patients’ control. Other
useful devices are installed in new modern
vehicles such as airplanes, motorcycles,
trains, and cars; such as the alarms that
prevent drivers from changing lanes on
the highway or getting too close to other
cars, people or objects.

In our first edition of The Greatest Movies
of all Time, we will mention a few of the
most important classic films made. We
have for instance the popular romantic
movie Casablanca. Made in 1942, it is
well known for its natural dialogue and
excellent acting that is easy to follow.
Another important classic film is The
Godfather made in 1972. It is a story
based upon a novel about some members
of the Italian mafia in New York. To
conclude this edition, we have from the
famous science fiction series Star Wars,
the first movie titled: A New Hope,
released in 1977. Its amazing special
effects and great actors earned $1.6
billion dollars in theaters worldwide.
