data. The SAP client concept is a very important
The client allows an organization to split a system into logical subunits.

SAP also defines clients with the following roles, as required in a complete
landscape.

 Client Development: Used for making developments and

serving other customer-specific requirements. The SAP
transport management system is used to move CUST client
changes to other clients.

 Client Quality: Defined for testing and verifying various applied

changes.

 Client Production: Used for production and business activities.

Clients 000, 001 and 066 are the clients created by default in any SAP system.

Client 000 is SAP reference client. After installing any SAP system other clients will
be created based on Client 000.

Client 001 is customizing client which is similar to client 000.

Client 066 is also SAP reference client used by early watch service

It is therefore not necessary to install software for each client (DEV; QA; PRD) with
a single software, we can create different clients each with a specific task and also
being autonomous
Now I will show you how to create a new client

First enter transaction code : SALE

Go to Basic Setting and Logical systems

And then click to << define Logical System >> you will receive a warning click ok

Click to new entries

Give the name for Logical system for me it’s: DEVCLNT200 for Test and save

Go to assign logical system to client

Go to new entries

Then enter all important information like: the name of Client; Client role; logical
system and save

The client successfully added to the list:

Now is okay we have our new client 200 then back to the gui screen for open your
new client
Every client has three digits number our client is 200
Enter your User and Password
