Hobby

I must admit our life is very busy. We are occupied with our routine problems, numerous jobs
and practically have no free time and I am not an exception. During the daytime I am busy at
school, then at home with my homework. I have time for leisure and my favorite occupations
only in the evening or on Sunday. I devote my free time to my hobbies. I can't imagine my life
without my favorite occupation. Life is dull and boring without them. I think hobbies are a good
rest after work. There are a good relaxation and give us a lot of moments of joy and pleasure.
Hobbies help us to enrich our knowledge of different things. Some hobbies help us to be skillful
in some work, they are useful for our future life.

There are more then 1,000 hobbies to spend our free time. People take up different hobbies:
collecting different things (coins, stamps, ancient things, pictures), reading going in for sport,
knitting, cooking, photography, model making, gardening, sewing, embroidering, playing the
piano or the guitar and so on. Our choice depends on our age, taste, profession, cultural interests
and education.

As for me I have a lot of favorite occupations: first of all it is music. I can spend hours listening to
my favorite singers and pop-groups. But I enjoy some classical music too. I am not crazy about
any pop-singer or group but I enjoy singing of ... .1 can say music gives me high mood, strong
feelings, energy.

Reading occupies a great part of my free time too. I have a special liking for reading. Without
books life becomes empty and cheerless. When I only have a few minutes to spare I devote them
to reading. We can read for pleasure, amusement and entertainment, for self education. There is a
great verify of literature. I prefer books based on real life.

I consider embroidering a very useful hobby for a girl. It will help me in future to decorate my
house. Even now I have a lot of beautiful things made with my own hands. Sometimes I use
different magazines to copy patterns from them, sometimes I use my own fantasy and
imagination. I think embroidering develops my aesthetical taste and the feeling of beauty. I am
never dull being occupied with these interesting hobbies.

I also became interested in English some years ago. First of all I like the English language itself.
I must admit I am good at languages. Then I think the knowledge of a foreign language gives us
an opportunity to make our intellectual and cultural horizons wider through contact with another
culture. I think it will be of great use for me in my future life and future profession.

Then I'm very found of computer. I can sit in front of computer for many hours day and night.
There I can get a lot of interesting information first of all about music, famous people, sport.
Besides! have a good collection of computer games. Some of them are very difficult. Playing
games you can build cities, take part in star wars, travel to unknown land, take part in different
races. It's really fun.
