• Natural disasters are latent hazards in Indonesia.
• Many peoples (> 40%) in Indonesia reside in areas
that are vulnerable to natural disasters.
• Therefore its mitigation and adaptation
must be handled by a sustainable DRRM.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
• The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known
as the Global Goals, were adopted by all UN Member
States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end
poverty, protect the planet and ensure that
all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

• The 17 SDGs are integrated, that is, they recognize

that action in one area will affect outcomes
in others, and that development must balance
social, economic and environmental sustainability.

• Through the pledge to Leave No One Behind,

countries have committed to fast-track progress for
those furthest behind first. That is why the SDGs are

designed to bring the world to several life-changing
‘zeros’, including zero poverty, hunger, AIDS and
discrimination against women and girls.

Bridging the Geospatial Digital Divide
Global Perspective Indonesia still needs to resolve
several geospatial divide related
matters, such as:
• Limited and incomplete coverage of
large scale base and thematic maps
(scale of 1:1000 and 1:5000).
• Differences in quality, accuracy, and
availability of (social, economic, and

Things to do in the near future …
• Only province level of SDGs data
SDGs Data Availability (Indonesia) is available at present. SDGs data
at district, city and village levels
should be produced immediately.
• SDGs data related to Goals 12, 13,
14 and 15 must be prepared

• Cooperation and coordination
between related ministries,
agencies and local governments
must be optimized.
• In addition to government agencies,
the involvement of non-profit,
