WORK EXPERIENCE
Hickory Flay Pottery; Production Potter; Clarkesville, Georgia
March 2020 – Current
• Produce 50+ various functional pottery pieces a day with a potter’s wheel and/or by hand-building
• Operate production machines such as pug mill, potter’s wheel, bisque kilns
• Finish pieces by sanding and/or grinding pieces from gas kiln; quality check on each piece
• Organize and price all pottery in the gallery and in the work room; keep inventory of items
• Give tours to customers; cashier/customer service
• Process orders via over the phone and/or online , pack and ship out
• Keep an updated inventory list of any and all supplies needed for day-to-day business needs and order
them daily/weekly as needed with company credit card or petty cash

• Designed and wheel thrown visual models meeting both aesthetic and functionality per client’s criteria
• Communicated weekly on process as well as meeting deadlines from client
• Produced 8+ casting molds; one- and two-piece molds
• Wheel threw pieces that were later made into a casting mold using Potter’s No. 1 Plaster Mix
• Produced master molds of three molds made for client
• Slip cast molds daily to meet the client’s deadlines and finished those pieces to client’s request before
delivering the bone dry casts to be bisque fired
