Question 1. Why do you think Freescale focuses on matrices?

why don’t more organization follow its


approach?

Answer. Freescale has discovered that in order to have the right people at the right time to do the right
job, it need an extensive and elaborate set of metrices to manage 2400 employees in 30 countries. by
focusing on metrices set of metrics, organization will know what they need from employees and for
what. to set metrices of past data is very difficult so many organizations don’t follow this approach.

Question 2. As a manager, would you want to be accountable for the equitation the retention of
employees you supervise? why, why not?

Answer. Yes, as a manager I would want to be accountable for acquisition and retention of employees I
supervise because, I can now what they are capable 0ffand use them more efficiently.

Question 3. In general, what do you think are the advantage of limitation of such metrices?

Answer. Foremost the main advantage of matrices is that it arranges huge data in very presentable way,
which turns in a very to analyze and interpret. on the other hand, it has some limitations as well as
initially though it elaborates a lot on my other factors but very little difference can be seen on the same
column the metrics making it ineffective if you only compare one standard.

Question 4. Freescale focus on the metrics of the acquisition and mention the employees. Do you
think metrics can be applied to other areas of management, such as employees’ attitudes employee
performance or skill development? how might those metrices be measured and managed?

Answer. Yes, metrics can be applied to other areas of management, such as employee attitudes,
employee performances or skill development. these metrices can be measured by using ability, capacity
workload and productivity of employee. These matrices can be managed by manager.
