What is essay?

The purpose of teaching students essay writing is to: Develop

independent writing skills in them. Essay does not refer to the
description of any content. An essay is an expression of a
writer's personal opinion about a subject. Although different
authors write essays on a single topic, each of their essays has a
special feature in terms of the authors' own perspectives.
According to RICHARAL WILSON: to create in the
reader’s mind of feeling of pleasure and the idea that there is
not merely a pen but a living personality behind the writing.
Of course, students can only try to write such essays after they
have practiced writing some essays in a simple form.

This often makes students' hard work unnecessary.
TYPES OF ESSAY:
There are 3 types of essay. These are as follows:
1. Narrative composition
2. Descriptive composition
3. Reflective composition

Narrative composition:
This article is the simplest of the three types of articles. Here
the students describe what they know. At the first and middle
level, this kind of composition is especially useful. At first,
students can compose essays in simple language based on a
story or event they read in a book. In high school, students will
learn to compose essays based on their own perspectives on
different events.
Descriptive composition:
This kind of essay is a bit harder than descriptive essay. That is
why students will start writing descriptive essays after they
become accustomed to writing descriptive essays. To write this
kind of essay, the student has to observe different objects,
places, events and situations. And who should collect the
description content.
Reflective composition:
This type of essay is the most difficult of the three types of
essays and only the upper class should teach this type of essay.
In order to write an essay on "social service", "responsibilities
and duties of student society", etc., the author needs to have
some thinking power of his own. That is why this kind of essay
can be started only when the thinking of the students has
changed a bit.
