LESSON PLAN N° 16: REVISION.

Textbook: Hop Into English A.
Unit: 3: Picnic time!
Time: 40 minutes. (From 17:40 to 18:20)
Grammar points: Revision: Adjectives (big/ small).
Revision: Quantifiers “How Many? Two small tomatoes”.
Function: To revise adjectives and quantifiers.
Topic Vocabulary: Revision: Food items (apples, ham, cheese, bread, eggs,
tomatoes, bananas, pears)
Skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Lesson aims:
 To provide enough input through images and real objects so as learners
are able to revise adjectives and quantifiers.
 By the end of the lesson students will be able to recognize the size of
different food items and how to ask how many food items are.
 By the end of the lesson learners will know how to describe the size of
food items and how to form oral and written questions of quantity in an
accurate way.
WARM UP: REVISION.
At this stage I will play a game. Students will be divided into two groups. There
will be two boxes, one for big and the other for small. They will have to put the
put the images in the box in the shorter time. I will say as follows:
T: Let’s play a game! Look! (I will show the boxes)
Ss: (expected answer): Cajas
T: Yes, boxes, two boxes. One for Big and the other for small. (doing mimics)
T: And look! (I will show the images) What’s this?
Ss: (expected answer): Imagenes de comida.
T: Right! Food
T: Now, Let’s play! You are going to be group 1 (pointing to them) and you are
going to be group 2 (pointing to them).
T: You have to put the images in the correct box. (I will do mimics and one
example) the group that finishes in a shorter time wins.
I will use mother tongue if necessary.
T: Is it clear?
Ss: (expected answer): Yes, teacher.

At this stage I will give each student a copy so as to practice in order to revise
the structure “How many?”, size and colour. Students will work individually and
we will check on the board. The first one will be already done so as an example.
I will proceed in the following way:
T: Let’s practice! Look! You have to match, trace and match. (I will do mimics
and the example)
T: Is it clear?
Ss: (expected answer): Yes, teacher.
T: Ok, now work.

PRODUCTION:
At this stage I will deliver each student a copy. They will have to draw their
favourite food item, as many as they want and the colour they prefer. I will give
my example. Students will have to work individually and the activity will be
checked orally. I will proceed as follows:
T: Last activity! Look! Draw and colour. Draw your favourite food item, la

T: Ok, you have three minutes.
