ANNOTATIONS:

Individual Monitoring Plan is very important as it help us to monitor learners’ gap based on the
result of their submitted formative and summative assessment. It also helps us to track the academic
performance of the learners if they will be able to get the desired learning outcomes or not. And give
interventions to those students so that they will not be able to be left behind. And will be able to master
the desired learning outcomes which he/she needed in every quarter. My students seems to have
difficulty in answering the practice tasks given, because of that I just chose some tasks that easy for
them to find out the answers. I give also additional supplementary materials like video tutorial for them
to understand the topic in the module.

V. PROCEDURES A B
ELICIT How would life be without light?
-Living things will not thrive without light. Living things,
specifically plants depends on the process of
photosynthesis (which requires light) in order to produce
food that will be used by other organisms for their survival.

How do you use light in everyday life?

-Light is used in household and street lightings, in
growing plants, in gadgets, etc.
only EM wave visible to the human eye.
EXPLORE Group Activity.

Divide the class into five groups and give them the materials needed
for the activity (Flashlight, illustration board, prism, bond paper,
coloring material)

Procedure:
1. Place the prism on top of the white-side of the illustration
board.
2. Turn on the flashlight and point it on the prism until a light
that pass through the prism hit the white-side of the illustration
board. (Be sure that the classroom is dark by turning off the lights/
windows/ door)
3. Draw in a bond paper the image formed on the white-side of
the illustration board. (Use coloring materials).

Guide Questions:
1. What happens when white light pass through the prism?
- The white light was divided into different colors after
passing through the prism. A rainbow color of light is seen
on the white side of the illustration board.

2. What colors are found on the edges of the rainbow?

Red and Violet

3. How was the colors in the rainbow arranged?

-Colors in the rainbow were arranged according to their
wavelength/frequency. They are arranged as follows:
RedOrange-Yellow-Green-Blue-Indigo-Violet

4.What do you think is the purpose of the prism in the activity?

- Prism separates white light into different colors of light.

5. After raining, you sometimes see a rainbow. Why this phenomenon

happens?
- Water droplets act as prism resulting to the dispersion
of light.

(See Appendix A for the Scoring Rubrics)

EXPLAIN Presentation of group outputs.

ELABORATE The teacher will discuss the following:

(Refer to page 160 of Science 10 LM)

1. Visible light
- Light is the thinnest slice in the EM spectrum, but is the
only EM wave visible to the human eye.
-Our eyes are sensitive to electromagnetic waves of
wavelengths that ranges from 4x10-7 m to 7x10-7 m. -We
can see the beauty of our surrounding because of the
visible light. Without it, we will not be able to see things.

NAME OF ARTIFACT: TEACHER-MADE/MODIFIED LEARNING RESOURCES (PPST 4.5)

PROFESSIONAL STANDARD STRAND:
4.5 – Teaching and learning resources including ICT
5.1 – Design, selection, organization and utilization of assessment strategies
ANNOTATIONS:

ICT-based instruction has a great impact in the teaching-learning process nowadays. We are
now in a modern world where gadgets are everywhere, new applications that we can use in teaching-
learning process evolves to make the teaching-learning process more exciting and engaging to the
learners. As a teacher, we should engage ourselves in exploring ICT-based instruction as it makes the
teaching-learning process more student-centered and at the same time it enhances the delivery of the
lesson. Since we always have unstable internet and our students have no personal gadgets for online
class, we prepared to print a Modules coming from the Regional and Division Office. So, for them to
understand the printed modules I gave them a Weekly Home Learning Plan written in Filipino with
examples and solutions. I also gave them a soft copy of Video Tutorial about the topic for those who had
a gadgets. I prepare also a separate assessment, to evaluate if they understand the topic.
NAME OF ARTIFACT: CERTIFICATES OF PARTICIPATION IN ANY PD ACTIVITIES (PPST 7.3 &
7.5)
PROFESSIONAL STANDARD STRAND:
7.3 – Professional links with colleagues
7.5 – Professional development goals

ANNOTATIONS:

Engaging in different webinars will help us to improve ourselves. As we open our mind and
ourselves to the new knowledge that we can get from various speakers. If we are willing to learn new
things, we are also willing to improve ourselves which will help us to accept the challenge of new
normal set-up of education. One of those webinars that I have attended talked about coping up the new
normal set-up of education, entitled “Teachers Redefined Characteristics in the New Normal”. This
webinar enlightened and guide me on how to cope up and how you deliver your lesson in this new
normal of education. We conducted also a LAC Session for us to be prepared on how to manage the new
normal education.

NAME OF ARTIFACT: REFLECTIVE SUMMARY (PPST 7.4)

PROFESSIONAL STANDARD STRAND:
7.4 – Professional reflection and learning to improve practice

This LDM2 Practicum Portfolio made me realized personally how to improve myself as a
teacher. As the quotations by Anonymous said, “I wasn’t born to just teach, I was born to inspire others,
to change people and to never give up, even when faced with challenges that seem impossible.” Despite
of the challenges that we are facing in this time of pandemic, you should never give up in order to
achieve your goals. At first, I was struggling in collecting the MOV’s in this portfolio, but as I reminded
myself not to give up and I need to do this, I was able to do it. I am doing this not just for myself but also
for my students, as it helps me to look back to the things that I already accomplished in this new normal
set-up of education. It made me realized that the experiences and the new knowledge and skills I gained
give me more strength and confidence to never give up and strive more to inspire my students and to
change their lives. To inspire and motivate them, to continue their studies even this time of pandemic.
Face the challenges even if it seems impossible, coz nothing is impossible if you are very determined to
face it and be successful. As the other quotations by Andrew Milles said, “Learning is a process, and to
become a master, there must be an extended process of revisions and reflections.” Learn from your
experiences, revise the plan that doesn’t work and be able to reflect to improve yourself to become a
master in your chosen path. Become a master to overcome challenges and be able to give to our students
the best learning that they deserve, because we are not just born as a teacher to teach them what was
written in the books, lesson exemplar, weekly home learning plan and LEAP’s but to touch their heart
and their lives.
NAME OF ARTIFACT: ENGAGING LEARNERS FOR THEIR PROGRESS AND ACHIEVEMENT (PPST
5.2 & 5.3)
PROFESSIONAL STANDARD STRAND:
5.2 – Monitoring and evaluation of learner progress and achievement
5.3 – Feedback

ANNOTATIONS:

Monitoring and evaluating learners performance through class group chat or personal message
to the students , recognizing their talents and praising their good performance is important to boost
learners interest and actively participate in all activity given by the teacher . Giving proper
instructions and guidance in answering their modules help the learners to lessen difficulty in the new
normal setting of education.Giving feedbacks let them understand the lesson.
NAME OF ARTIFACT: PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT WITH COLLEAGUES (PPST 7.3)
