A. List the Physical Features in Ancient Rome and How It Could Develop and Shaped the Roman’s Civilization

Mountains Description & How It had benefited the Roman


Apennine Mountains Apennine Mountains forms the “backbone” of Rome. These mountains also helped
to protect Rome from outside attacks and stretches from north to south

Alps Located along the Northern border and serve as a natural boundary.

Seas Description & How It had benefited the Roman


Adriatic sea The sea separating the Italian Peninsula from the Balkans.

Ionian Sea an elongated bay of the Mediterranean Sea. It is connected to the Adriatic Sea to the
north.  In ancient times the Ionian Sea was a common setting for battles
between Rome and Greece.

Mediterranean sea the Roman armies used these same routes to conquer large amounts of territory and
expand the empire along the Mediterranean. The Romans also use this as a route
for their tradings.

Rivers Description & How It had benefited the Roman


Tiber river The Tiber River is the third-longest river in Italy.--

Po river The Po River is longest river Italy forming Italy’s widest and most fertile plain.

Plains Description & How It had benefited the Roman


Tuscan plain A part of the Southern plains area. Drained by the Po River, were a fertile farming
region.

Latium plain  home of Alba Longa and Rome,  hub of the Roman Empire's trade business.

Campanian plains A part of the southern plain area. Home to Italy’s best harbor.

B. Identify the important produce/farm of Rome and explain why they were important.

With farms, they can grow wheat, olives and other plants. Its important to grow and have a farm because with farms
These resources are of course an essential for foods. they can grow and produce fruits & vegetables to make
meals and food. Olives are also used as a fuel.

C. Describe the climate of Rome and how it could influence the way people lived

The hot, dry summers and wet, mild winters are ideal for people, plants and animals. These 2 weathers create a
balanced weather.
