When the lines were created in the Maxsurf the next step is to export the lines from the

Maxsurf to Rhinoceros 3-D. The exported line were shown in the Figure 4.7 and the
surface were created using the lines which were created before the final surface where
shown in the Figure 4.8.

4.7 CHAPTER SUMMARY

This chapter discusses the lines generation and 3-D modelling of the ship. When the
dimensions were selected from the parentship next step is to generate the lines. In this
chapter discuss the SAC method for generating the lines. Current ship is designed with
a bulbous bow for that calculations were made. The lines plan were made with three
different views including the body plan, profile and body plan where lines were faired
to get a smooth line. When the lines were faired and get smooth the next step is to make
the 3-D modelling of the current model.
