Document Checking and Disinfection Area – this will be located beside the main road

that serves as the entry point of the travelers to the swab testing facility. It will have

three rooms for the personnel that will have to do checking the documents and

assessing them for the procedures of the testing. Each room for the document

checking and temperature checking will have at least 2 meters in width and 3 meters

in length enough for the personnel who will do the checking and the materials needed

for the process. The personnel/s assign in this area will also orient the travelers on

the procedure they need to follow in the entire testing process. The disinfection area

will be placed on the right side of the building having a width of at least 4.5 meters

that can cater 3 (three) persons at a time. The facility was designed in this manner

following the health protocols and standards given by the IATF/DOH in controlling

the further spread of the COVID-19.

2. Confirmatory Area – It will be the building where the testing will be conducted. It

will consist of a waiting area, laboratory technician room, processing area, and a

storage room. It will have a dimension of at least 10.5 x 6.5 metes for the entire

building. The waiting was placed near the entrance of the building where the travelers

can easily proceed to the processing room where the sample will be collected. The

processing room was designed beside the laboratory technician for an easy transfer of

specimen to the laboratory. The laboratoy has a storage room for where test kits to

keep it

organize and safe. The building will also have a comfort room for the travellers in

case they needed it and enough windows to keep the building ventilated. The
travellers will pick-up the results in the pick-up area where further instructions will be

given and leads them to the exit of the building.

3. Holding area – this will serves as a temporary holding area for travellers that will test

positive of COVID-19 until their respective LGU’s retrieve them. It can cater up to

seven (7) travellers. The building will have a floor area of at least 10.5 x 6.5 meters. It

was designed with at least eleven( 11) meters away from both the road and the

confirmatory facility enough to keep them isolated from others and keep their

privacy. Each room will have a dimension at least 2 x 2.8 meters as shown in the

design template with a bed which enable them to rest before their retrieval.

Attendant’s desk will placed near the entrance of the building to assist the travellers if

they have concerns. It will also have at least one (1) common toilet for the travellers.

Tents will also be placed in the road that serves as the entry point of the vehicles and where the

vehicle disinfection is done. It was designed with two chambers for four (4) wheeled vehicles

and for single motor vehicles. It will have disinfectant tank equipped with a water pump and

remote control atomizing nozzle for disinfection. A parking area was also designed where the

travellers can park their vehicles after disinfection and while the test is conducted.s
