The Church Council

First Southern Baptist Church of M’lang
M’lang, North Cotabato, 9402

Thru: Dr. Pedro Gape

Chairman
Church Council

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the members of the council, whom are willing and
decided to support me in my journey of passing the Bar examinations. This support was
manifested by the council’s act of allowing me to occupy a vacant room in the church premises.

However, it came to my knowledge that I was being requested to vacate the room I already
occupied. A colleague informed me that a member of the council wanted me to vacate the room
to allow the members of the worship team to use it.

I would like to express my humble disappointment to such incident. Before my occupation, the
room was filled with church equipment and other stuff that are not regularly used. It was a mess.
I took some time cleaning and organizing it and even repainted it. Then, as I remember the
council as a body approved to allow me to use that room from the start of my review until I have
taken or finished the Bar. Worst, I haven’t been able to formally start my review. Honestly, only
on my opinion I consider this as an unprofessional act.

As of now, I already vacated the room. And if the council will allow me to make any comment I
would like to suggest and appeal that next time if a matters decided by the council as a body (as
a whole) the same should be revoked or cancelled by the council as a body and not by certain
individuals only.

If my request caused too much trouble to the church I would like to sincerely ask for an apology.
Praying also that next time the council should avoid a promise it couldn’t keep. Matthew 5:37
says: But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’, and your ‘No’ be ‘No’. For whatever is more than these is from
the evil one.

Sorry for my direct and honest language.

Sincerely,

Jed Salvio Paracha
