1 Now the man knew his wife Eve, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have produced a man with
the help of the LORD.”
2 Next she bore his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a tiller of the ground.
3 In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD and offering of the fruit of the ground,
4 and Abel for his part brought of the firstlings of his flock, their fat portins. And the LORD had regard for
Able and his offering,
5 but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.
6 The LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your countenance fallen?
7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is lurking at the door; its desire
is for you, but you must master it.”
8 Cain said to his brother Able, “Let us go out to the field.” And when they were in the field, Cain rose up
against his brother Abel, and Killed him.
9 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” He said, “I do not know; am I my brother’s
keeper?”
10 And the LORD said, “What have you done? Listen; your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the
ground!
11 And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood
from your hand.
12 When you till the ground, it will no longer yield to you its strength; you will be a fugitive and a
wanderer on the earth.”
13 Cain said to the LORD, “My punishment is greater than I can bear!
14 Today you have driven me away from the soil, and I shall be hidden from your face; I shall be a fugitive
and a wanderer on the earth, and anyone who meets me may kill me.”
15 Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! Whoever kills Cain will suffer a sevenfold vengeance.” And the LORD
put a mark on Cain, so that no one who came upon him would kill him.
16 Then Cain went away from the presence of the LORD, and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

1 At nakilala ng lalake si Eva na kaniyang asawa; at siya'y naglihi at ipinanganak si Cain, at sinabi,
Nagkaanak ako ng lalake sa tulong ng Panginoon.
2 At sa muli ay ipinanganak ang kaniyang kapatid na si Abel. At si Abel ay tagapagalaga ng mga tupa;
datapuwa't si Cain ay mangbubukid ng lupa.
3 At nangyari nang lumalakad ang panahon ay nagdala si Cain ng isang handog na mga bunga ng lupa sa
Panginoon.
4 At nagdala rin naman si Abel ng mga panganay ng kaniyang kawan at ng mga taba ng mga yaon. At
nilingap ng Panginoon si Abel at ang kaniyang handog:
5 Datapuwa't hindi nilingap si Cain at ang kaniyang handog. At naginit na mainam si Cain, at namanglaw
ang kaniyang mukha.
6 At sinabi ng Panginoon kay Cain, Bakit ka naginit? at bakit namanglaw ang iyong mukha?
7 Kung ikaw ay gumawa ng mabuti, di ba ikaw mamarapatin? at kung hindi ka gumawa ng mabuti, ay
nahahandusay ang kasalanan sa pintuan: at sa iyo'y pahihinuhod ang kaniyang nasa, at ikaw ang
papanginoonin niya.
8 At yao'y sinabi ni Cain sa kaniyang kapatid na kay Abel. At nangyari, nang sila'y nasa parang ay nagtindig
si Cain laban kay Abel na kaniyang kapatid, at siya'y kaniyang pinatay.
9 At sinabi ng Panginoon kay Cain, Saan naroon si Abel na iyong kapatid? At sinabi niya, Aywan ko: ako
ba'y tagapagbantay sa aking kapatid?

10 At sinabi niya, Anong iyong ginawa? ang tinig ng dugo ng iyong kapatid ay dumadaing sa akin mula sa
lupa.
11 At ngayo'y sinumpa ka sa lupa na siyang nagbuka ng bibig na tumanggap sa iyong kamay ng dugo ng
iyong kapatid;
12 Pagbubukid mo ng lupa, ay di na ibibigay mula ngayon sa iyo ang kaniyang lakas; ikaw ay magiging
palaboy at hampas-lupa sa lupa.
13 At sinabi ni Cain sa Panginoon, Ang aking kaparusahan ay higit kaysa mababata ko.
14 Narito, ako'y iyong itinataboy ngayon mula sa ibabaw ng lupa, at sa iyong harapan ay magtatago ako; at
ako'y magiging palaboy at hampaslupa; at mangyayari, na sinomang makasumpong sa akin ay papatayin
ako.
15 At sinabi sa kaniya ng Panginoon, Dahil dito'y sinomang pumatay kay Cain ay makapitong gagantihan. At
nilagyan ng Panginoon ng isang tanda si Cain, baka siya'y sugatan ng sinomang makakasumpong sa
kaniya.
16 At umalis si Cain sa harapan ng Panginoon at tumahan sa lupain ng Nod, sa silanganan ng Eden.

1 아담이 아내 하와와 한자리에 들었더니 아내가 임신하여 카인을 낳고 이렇게 외쳤다. “야훼께서 나에게 아들을
주셨구나!”
2 하와는 또 카인의 아우 아벨을 낳았는데, 아벨은 양을 치는 목자가 되었고 카인은 밭을 가는 농부가 되었다.
3 때가 되어 카인은 땅에서 난 곡식을 야훼께 예물로 드렸고
4 아벨은 양떼 가운데서 맏배의 기름기를 드렸다. 그런데 야훼께서는 아벨과 그가 바친 예물은 반기시고
5 카인과 그가 바친 예물은 반기지 않으셨다. 카인은 고개를 떨어뜨렸다. 몹시 화가 나 있었다. 야훼께서 이것을 보시고
6 카인에게 말씀하셨다. “너는 왜 그렇게 화가 났느냐? 왜 고개를 떨어뜨리고 있느냐?
7 네가 잘했다면 왜 얼굴을 쳐들지 못하느냐? 그러나 네가 만일 마음을 잘못 먹었다면, 죄가 네 문 앞에 도사리고 앉아
너를 노릴 것이다. 그러므로 너는 그 죄에 굴레를 씌워야 한다.”
8 그러나 카인은 아우 아벨을 들로 가자고 꾀어 들로 데리고 나가서 달려들어 아우 아벨을 쳐죽었다.
9 야훼께서 카인에게 물으셨다. “네 아우 아벨이 어디 있느냐?” 카인은 “제가 아우를 지키는 사람입니까?” 하고 잡아떼며
모른다고 대답하였다.
10 그러나 야훼께서는 “네가 어찌 이런 일을 저질렀느냐?” 하시며 꾸짖으셨다. “네 아우의 피가 땅에서 나에게 울부짖고
있다.
11 땅이 입을 벌려 네 아우의 피를 네 손에서 받았다. 너는 저주를 받은 몸이니 이 땅에서 물러나야 한다.
12 네가 아무리 애써 땅을 갈아도 이 땅은 더 이상 소출을 내지 않을 것이다. 너는 세상을 떠돌아다니는 신세가 될
것이다.”
13 그러자 카인이 야훼께 하소연하였다. “벌이 너무 무거워서, 저로서는 견디지 못하겠습니다.
14 오늘 이 땅에서 저를 아주 쫓아내시니, 저는 이제 하느님을 뵙지 못하고 세상을 떠돌아다니게 되었습니다. 저를
만나는 사람마다 저를 죽이려고 할 것입니다.”
15 “그렇게 못하도록 하여주마, 카인을 죽이는 사람에게는 내가 일곱 갑절로 벌을 내리리라.” 이렇게 말씀하시고
야훼께서는 누가 카인을 만나더라도 그를 죽이지 못하도록 그에게 표를 찍어주셨다.
16 카인은 하느님 앞에서 물러나와 에덴 동쪽 놋이라는 곳에 자리를 잡았다.

[Sermon] - 설교
1) We are experiencing God's grace through the story of Cain and Abel.
The story of Cain and Abel shows that even worship to God can be contaminated with human sin.
That's why we know that the free will God has given to humans is great.
우리들은 가인과 아벨 이야기를 통해 하나님께서 주시는 은혜를 경험하고 있습니다.
가인과 아벨 이야기는 하나님께 드리는 예배조차 인간의 죄에 오염될 수 있음을 보여줍니다.
그만큼 하나님께서 인간에게 부여하신 자유의지가 대단함을 알게 됩니다.

2) In a way, the reason that human beings, who are creatures, have free will, which is an ability that
humans cannot bear, and free will like God the Creator, is a necessary condition for human beings to
become loving beings with God the Creator.
That is why God continues to show that God is love throughout human history.
And humans learn and come to know God who is love through the Bible.
어찌보면 피조물인 인간이 감당할 수 없는 능력인 자유의지, 창조주 하나님과 같은 자유의지를 주신 이유는 피조물인
인간이 창조주 하나님과 사랑하는 존재가 되기 위한 필요조건이기 때문입니다.
그렇기에 하나님은 인류 역사를 통해 계속해서 하나님 당신이 사랑이심을 보여줍니다.
그리고 인간은 성경을 통해 사랑이신 하나님을 배워 알게 됩니다.

3) Now let's take a closer look at the story of Cain and Abel.
God warned Cain, "You must control your feelings lying at the door of your heart to dominate you."
Did Cain obey God's word? Did he disobey?
이제 가인과 아벨 이야기를 조금더 살펴 보겠습니다.
하나님은 가인에게 경고하셨습니다, “너는 너를 지배하려고 마음 문 앞에 엎드려 있는 네 감정을 다스려야 한다.”
가인이 하나님의 말씀에 순종했습니까? 불순종했습니까?

4) Cain did not respond to the Word of God.

He was just faithful to his feelings and poured out his feelings to his little brother Abel because he could
not pour his feelings into God.
And Cain called Abel out into the field.
Let me read together verse 8.
가인은 하나님의 말씀에 반응하지 않았습니다.
그저 자신의 감정에 충실하였고 자신의 감정을 하나님께 쏟아낼 수 없기에 힘 없는 동생 아벨에게 자신의 감정을
쏟아냈습니다.
그리고 가인은 아벨을 들판으로 불러냈습니다.
8절 말씀 함께 읽겠습니다.

8 Cain said to his brother Able, “Let us go out to the field.” And when they were in the field, Cain rose up
against his brother Abel, and Killed him.
8 At yao'y sinabi ni Cain sa kaniyang kapatid na kay Abel. At nangyari, nang sila'y nasa parang ay nagtindig
si Cain laban kay Abel na kaniyang kapatid, at siya'y kaniyang pinatay.

7) Cain called Abel into the field.

Perhaps he didn't call his little brother into the field to kill him in the purpose.
But as a result, Cain stoned Abel to death.
가인이 아벨을 들판으로 불러냈습니다.
아마도 처음부터 동생을 살해하기 위해 들판으로 불러내지 않았을 수 있습니다.
그러나 결과적으로 가인은 아벨을 돌로쳐 죽였습니다.

6) So It become a planned murder.

Wherever the Bible is, there is no visible Cain who responds to the Word of God.
Only Cain who is faithful to his own emotions, and is a slave of emotion.
그럼으로 이것은 계획적인 살인입니다.
성경 그 어디에도 하나님의 말씀에 반응하는 가인의 모습은 보이지 않습니다.
오직 자신의 감정에만 충실하여, 감정의 노예로써 분풀이하는 가인만 있습니다.

7) So when his feelings, not God, were given priority, the result was to kill his brother.
This is a human showing in Cain and Abel stories.
It reveals how foolish human is before God.
그렇게 하나님이 아닌 자신의 감정이 우선되었을 때 그 결과는 동생을 죽이는 것이었습니다.
이것이 가인과 아벨 이야기가 보여주는 인간입니다.
하나님 앞에서 인간이 얼마나 어리석은 존재임을 드러냅니다.

8) Here we have to really carefully ponder.

It is a fact that God directly warned Cain.
We often think, “If I see God with my own eyes, I can believe in God!”
여기서 우리는 정말 주의 깊게 숙고해야합니다.
가인에게 하나님께서 직접 경고하셨다는 사실입니다.
우리들은 흔히 이런 생각을 합니다, “내 눈으로 하나님을 직접 본다면 하나님을 믿을 수 있겠다!”

9) However, the Bible explains to us how popular a sinner is through the example of Cain.
Sinners are beings who can ignore God's words.
The reason there are creatures that can ignore the Creator is because God has given them such powers.
그러나 성경은 가인의 예를 통해 우리들에게 죄인이 어떤 존재인기 설명합니다.
죄인은 하나님이 직접 말씀하셔도 그 말씀을 무시할 수 있는 존재입니다.
창조주를 무시할 수 있는 피조물이 존재하는 이유도 하나님께서 그 피조물에게 그런 능력을 주셨기 때문입니다.

10) However, we cannot say that all human errors are due to God.
Rather, humans must respond with more humility to God, who has given ‘free will’ so that even human can
ignore God.
That is the reason the creatures should act.
그렇다고 우리들은 인간의 모든 잘못이 하나님 때문이라고 말할 수 없습니다.
오히려 인간은 하나님조차 무시할 수 있도록 ‘자유의지’를 부여하신 하나님께 더욱 겸손함으로 응답해야 합니다.
그것이 피조물이 행할 마땅한 도리입니다.

11) A sinner is an unresponsive being even before God's direct warning.

so that what should we pray for?
When God speaks in my life, I must pray that I can humble the Word.
죄인은 하나님의 직접적인 경고 앞에서도 반응하지 않는 존재입니다.
그렇다면 우리가 무엇을 위해 기도해야겠습니까?
하나님이 나의 삶에 말씀하실 때 겸손하게 그 말씀을 받들 수 있길 기도해야 합니다.

12) When my shame is revealed by the light of the Bible, I must pray that there is not a fool who chooses
a greater sin to be faithful to the feelings of shame and hide my shame, but grace to admit and fall before
the Bible.
But Cain was not.
I will read the verse 9 together.
말씀의 빛으로 나의 부끄러움이 드러났을 때, 부끄러움이라는 감정에 충실하여 부끄러움을 숨기기 위해 더 큰 죄를
선택하는 어리석은 자가 아니라, 말씀 앞에 인정하고 엎드리어 회계하는 은혜가 있길 기도해야 합니다.
그러나 가인(죄인)은 그렇지 않았습니다.
9절 말씀 함께 읽겠습니다.

9 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” He said, “I do not know; am I my brother’s
keeper?”
9 At sinabi ng Panginoon kay Cain, Saan naroon si Abel na iyong kapatid? At sinabi niya, Aywan ko: ako
ba'y tagapagbantay sa aking kapatid?

13) God, who gave him a chance before committing a sin, gives Cain who sinned a chance to repent again.
Our God is truly a compassionate God, and our God is a truly faithful God.
Humans change their first heart according to the situation, but God is the one who keeps your first heart to
the end.
죄를 짓기 전에 기회를 주신 하나님께서 죄를 지은 가인에게 다시 한번 회개할 수 있는 기회를 다시 주십니다.
우리 하나님은 참으로 긍휼하신 하나님이십니다, 우리 하나님은 참으로 신실하신 하나님이십니다.
인간은 상황에 따라 첫 마음을 바꿉니다, 그러나 하나님은 당신의 첫 마음을 끝까지 지키시는 분이십니다.

14) Depending on my circumstances, it is human beings who can abandon their children, but God is the
one who does not give up God's love for human being, even if he violates God's word and becomes a
sinner.
What does Cain answer at the last opportunity that God gives?
내 형편과 상황에 따라 자식까지 버릴 수 있는 것이 인간이지만, 하나님은 그가 비록 하나님의 말씀을 어기고 죄인이
되었을지라도 그를 향한 하나님의 사랑을 버리지 않는 분이십니다.
그런 하나님이 주시는 마지막 기회에 가인이 뭐라고 대답합니까?

15) “I do not know; am I my brother’s keeper?” This is the fruit of Cain's sin.
In order not to punish Cain in any way, God patiently patiently gives him an opportunity.
However, Cain does not give his Creator God the obedience he deserves, taking his feelings as masters until
the end.
“내가 내 동생을 지키는 자입니까?” 이것이 가인이 맺은 죄의 열매입니다.
하나님은 어떻게 해서라도 가인을 처벌하지 않기 위해 참고 참으시며 기회를 주십니다.
그러나 가인은 마지막에 마지막까지 자신의 감정을 주인으로 삼으며 마땅히 돌려야할 순종을 창조주 하나님께 드리지
않습니다.

16) Is not big brother surely keeping little brother?

Cain is still filled with anger.
He rages his brother in the fields following the boiling anger, killing his little brother, but the anger does
not sink.
형은 당연히 동생을 지키는 자가 아닙니까?
아직도 가인의 마음속엔 분노가 가득 차 있습니다.
끓어 오르는 분노를 따라 동생을 들로 꾀어내어 그 동생을 살해해버렸지만, 그 분노는 가라앉지 않습니다.

17) Rather, the wrath grows bigger and produces fruit by acting against God.
The result is that Cain can no longer live as a farmer and get kicked out of where he live.
I will read verse 10-12 together.
오히려 그 분노는 더욱더 커져 하나님께 대항하는 행동으로 열매를 맺습니다.
그 결과는 더이상 농부로 살지 못하고 지금 사는 곳에서 쫓겨났습니다.
10~12절 말씀 함께 읽겠습니다.

10 And the LORD said, “What have you done? Listen; your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the
ground!
11 And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood
from your hand.
12 When you till the ground, it will no longer yield to you its strength; you will be a fugitive and a
wanderer on the earth.”
10 At sinabi niya, Anong iyong ginawa? ang tinig ng dugo ng iyong kapatid ay dumadaing sa akin mula sa
lupa.
11 At ngayo'y sinumpa ka sa lupa na siyang nagbuka ng bibig na tumanggap sa iyong kamay ng dugo ng
iyong kapatid;
12 Pagbubukid mo ng lupa, ay di na ibibigay mula ngayon sa iyo ang kaniyang lakas; ikaw ay magiging
palaboy at hampas-lupa sa lupa.

18) Look at verse 10, and the righteousness of Abel, who was unjustly murdered, cries out to God from the
earth.
The blood of Abel flowed from the hand of Cain fell on the earth, and the injustice was delivered to God.
That's right. Sin is not hidden.
10절 말씀을 보십시오, 억울하게 살해당한 아벨의 억울함이 땅으로부터 하나님께 울부짖습니다.
가인의 손에서 흐른 아벨의 피가 땅에 떨어져 그 억울함이 하나님께 상달되었습니다.
그렇습니다. 죄는 숨겨지는 것이 아닙니다.

19) Could it be that God, the master of time, space, and existence, does not know?
No matter how small the light, as all darkness withdraws, there is no sin that God does not know.
All sins are never hidden.
시간, 공간, 존재의 주인이신 하나님께서 모르실 수 있나요?
아무리 작은 빛에도 모든 어둠은 물러나듯이, 하나님께서 모르시는 죄는 없습니다.
모든 죄는 결코 숨겨지지 않습니다.

20) Now Cain can no longer live as a farmer.

The land no longer gives fruit to the farmer Cain.
All the sweat that Cain shed can not bear fruit any more.
이제 가인은 더 이상 농부로 살 수 없습니다.
땅은 더 이상 결실을 농부 가인에게 내주지 않습니다.
가인이 흘릴 모든 땀은 결실로 열매 맺지 못합니다.

21) What do you feel through the 'Cain and Abel Story'?
I felt that the conversation between God and human(Adam and Eve) was once again being repeated.
Moreover, God warned Cain before sin.
사랑하는 믿음교회 성도님들 ‘가인과 아벨 이야기’를 통해 무엇을 느끼십니까?
저는 하나님과 사람(아담과 이브)이 나눈 대화가 다시 한번 반복되고 있음을 느꼈습니다.
더구나 하나님은 가인이 죄짓기 전에 경고하셨습니다.

22) But Cain, who is faithful only to his own feelings, sin, not God, has followed the "Chagrin" that grew
in his heart, not the word of God.
Emotion is not sin, but it is sin when it sets emotion ahead of God.
그러나 하나님이 아닌 죄, 자신의 감정에만 충실한 가인(인간)은 하나님의 말씀이 아닌 마음속에 자라난 ‘억울함’을
따라가고 말았습니다.
감정은 죄가 아니지만, 감정을 하나님 보다 앞세우는 순간 그것은 죄가 되고 맙니다.

23) So we must once again have God in front of everything and humility.
We have to make sure that God is ahead of my praise of my prayer, and of my worship.
And we must pray for the power and power to preach God at every moment.
그러니 우리는 다시 한번 모든 것 앞에 하나님이 계신가 겸손이 따져봐야 합니다.
내 감정보다, 내가 드리는 예배보다, 내가 하는 찬양과 기도보다 하나님이 앞서시는가 확인해야 합니다.
그리고 모든 순간에 하나님을 앞세울 수 있는 힘과 능력을 달라고 기도해야 합니다.

24) I hope that the saint Faithes who put God first over my feelings, my circumstances, and anything else.
I hope that you will be the saint Faithes who seats God on the throne of my heart and existence.
I believe that God will bless us with great joy.
나의 감정보다, 나의 형편보다, 그 무엇보다 하나님을 우선시 여기는 믿음교회 성도님들 되시길 소망합니다.
나의 마음과 존재의 왕좌에 하나님을 앉혀드리는 믿음교회 성도님들 되시길 바랍니다.
그런 우리들을 참으로 기쁘게 하나님은 만복으로 축복하실 줄 믿습니다.

I hope that the Lord will be in front of everything I do because I love you.

그리하여 내 삶을 통해 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지길 소망합니다.

모든 것 앞에 하나님을 두기로 다짐하는 믿음교회 성도님들의 삶 위에
