Standard Activity 10.45C School Improvement Planning

After the pandemic school year of 2020-2021, the Huntington High leadership team, as

well as the faculty at large to decide what direction to go and what the areas of most concern

were at Huntington High. Attached you will see the notes from these meetings including the

strategic plan for the upcoming school year, the “needs assessment” from those meetings, the

new ideas regarding mental health and character education to be implemented in our

homeroom (FLEX) classes daily, and the state of the school update given by our data coach. We

also discussed that the school climate is at an all-time low (with many retiring, quitting for a

non-education career, leaving HHS for other schools) and communication/staff unity is

definitely the main concern where students are not directly involved!
