PRE-REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS

1. Get an abstract approval from guide. The mail should contain the title of your project,
abstract (max. 150 words) and keywords. Save the mail in PDF format.
2. Obtain the grade card from the academic section.
3. Pay the placement fees (₹ 2400/- for M.S scholars & ₹ 1200/- for PhD. Scholars –
inclusive of GST) to the following account.

PLACEMENT REGISTRATION
Step 1:
Register on the placement portal (https://placement.iitm.ac.in/students/new_registration.php)
by filling the complete details.
Step 2:
After registration, a pre-filled No Objection Certificate (NOC) is generated. Get the NOC
document digitally signed by the guide. (Due to the pandemic situation, a ‘No Objection’
mail from guide is also accepted.). Signature of HOD is not mandatory
Step 3:
Placement coordinators will circulate a G-Form and collect the following documents.
1. Signed NOC
2. Approved Abstract (optional, different for each department)
3. Payment Proof
4. Approved Grade card,
-If getting grade card is unavoidably delayed, then upload a screenshot of response
received against your ticket in workflow and upload a Video/Screen Recording,
showing your login and grades in the workflow in next step (This is to be only used
when you are not able to get grade sheet Copy)

Step 5:
The collected G-form will be forwarded to the placement office (PO) only after which the PO
approves the registration of the scholar. The students can upload their resumes to the portal
once their account is verified.
Step 6:
Sign-in to the research scholars’ portal and create your profile. (https://scholars.iitm.ac.in/login).
Contact your department placement core to approve the scholar portal profile.
This Step is Mandatory for Resume Verification

REGARDING RESUME SUBMISSION

1. Login to the portal and upload the resume (At least two of them - Master resume and
F1). Students are allowed to submit up to 5 resumes on the portal - F1, F2, F3, F4, F5.
However, we suggest that you upload only up to four resumes at the time of
initial registration, as this allows for the addition of one more resume at a later stage if
the need arises. 
2. Students need to submit a master resume, which is an exhaustive superset of all
uploaded resumes. 
3. Certificates and proofs for points listed in the resume should be uploaded as separate
Google drive files and should be hyperlinked with the relevant text in the master
resume. The resume will be approved based on this data.
