What is analogy?

A verbal analogy expresses a relationship or comparison between sets of words.

A complete analogy compares the two pairs of words and makes a statement about them. It asserts that the relationship between the first pair of words is the same as the relationship
between the second.
Generally, analogies require you to define how two sets of words are alike or different.
