Introduction

Learning another language requires attention, perseverance, work, time and interest, the power to

communicate with other people in your mother tongue compensates for the commitments

required; Learning the English language should broaden the student's horizons, greatly benefiting

their professional growth.

The purpose of this document is to improve your basic knowledge of the English language;

considering the characteristics of the students and their current need to improve their knowledge

of the language, therefore, work strategies are incorporated through their own written and group

presentations in an oral and participatory way with the intention of integrating the English

language into their daily lives .

 1. Written Activity, Composition

Hello, my name is Laura Vanessa Almonacid Ruiz, I am from Bogotá, Colombia, I am twenty

years old, I work as an administrative analyst at Movistar Colombia and I live with my two

parents and a sister who is almost my age; I also have three different pets, a cat, a dog and a

rabbit.

In my work as an administrative analyst I normally do financial calculations and draw up risk

reports, it is something that I like and I have been doing it for three years, I also support the

director of my area with secretarial issues, I work from Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM

and sometimes on Saturdays until noon; At the moment I do not do it in person but in a virtual

way due to the current health crisis.

In my free time I enjoy sharing time with family and friends in some food or proposed activity, I

also like to play with my pets and go for a walk, in this time of health crisis I usually watch

movies or documentaries that motivate me to change my way to live, I also read and listen to

music that helps me relax, I try to stay active to preserve my health, additionally I like to watch

part of my free time Korean or Turkish series.

Durante el desarrollo y la entrega de las actividades de esta guía 1…

Aprendí sobre: Vocabulario básico, estructuras gramaticales, saludos, alfabeto,

países, días, pronombres, verbos, presentación general sobre mi y mis rutinas,
conversaciones grupales de intereses específicos.

Lo que más me gustó fue: La presentación general sobre mí.

Lo que más se me dificultó fue: La conversación grupal.

Todavía tengo dudas acerca de: Estructuras gramaticales.

Debo mejorar en: Mi pronunciación y vocabulario básico.
