Introduction
Purpose of the document
This document is describing compatibility between OmniPCX Office RCE Releases and its
applications (like PIMPhony, Call center, OTCV Applications, …), and the wired and wireless
terminals.

Information given in this documentation is provided only for products that are still supported.

First chapter gives the history of OmniPCX Office RCE phase-in / phase out.

Wording precision: each time the label “Windows 7” is used in this doc, it means Windows 7 professional edition.

OmniPCX Office RCE R10.1

OmniPCX Office RCE R10.1 phase-in on April 17th 2015

This version is a minor version. It completes mobility with [OTCV on WindowsPhone, with
SIP companion on OTCV android, with 8242 on IP-Dect, with 8340-C Dect AP]. It
introduces new user experience with PIMphony Touch on Windows8.1 modern UI on PC &
tablet. It introduces also new features [Forwarding cascading, choice of VMU in case of
FWD]. It reinforces security and SIP network connectivity.

OmniPCX Office RCE R10.1MR

OmniPCX Office RCE R10.1MR phase-in on July 24th 2015

This version is a Maintenance version. It introduces new IP desktop softphone (MAC & PC)
and SNMP V2C. It reinforces security.

OmniPCX Office RCE R10.2

OmniPCX Office RCE R10.2 phase-in on Nov 10th 2015

This version is a minor version. It introduces new IP desktop softphone (iPad & iPhone),
new OTCV converge for iPhone, new 8232 UI, new 8001 plug&play process. It reinforces
security, SIP trunk interoperability and data switch Zero-touch.

OmniPCX Office & applications

compatibility
The following chart provides the application release compatibility for each OmniPCX software
release. Prior to upgrade your OmniPCX software release make sure you have verified
applications compatibility table below.

Minimum application release assumes that when migrating an OmniPCX Office r “x” to
OmniPCX Office r “y”, services available on the target configuration will be at the level that
was available before migration. Careful analysis must be performed when supplementary
services are required on target configurations. Such requirements may imply application
migration to a more recent release.

Note that it is strongly recommended to upgrade applications to the latest software release.
By doing so, customers benefit from feature and application improvements. This information
conforms with the phase-out policy.
