The impact of social media on the performance of a company

Most studies have suggested that social media has played a critical part in the success of

different companies (Olanrewaju et al., 2020). To put things into perspective, the author of the

article “Examining the relationship between social media analytics practices and business

performance in the Indian retail and IT industries” suggested that social media is a significant

determinant of any company’s success (Garg et al., 2020). The article further suggests that social

media is something that should always be incorporated into the business strategy mainly because

it will put the company a step ahead of the other competitors as it is a tool that will offer the

company several competitive advantages. The purpose of this writing is mainly to create a

picture of how much social media can impact any business across the world.

This study will also point out the several challenges that social media has with reference

to several businesses. It is also important to ask questions concerning the social media aspect.

The main question that should be asked in this situation is how social media can be appropriately

utilized by the business to facilitate a successful venture. A study conducted by Irbo and

Mohammed on the importance of social media and business performance suggested that social

media is an important thing to incorporate into the business because it will positively impact the

business’ growth through collaboration (Irbo & Mohammed, 2020).

The technique used in this paper is the freewriting technique. This technique is an

essential aspect of writing as it allows the writer to write continuously without worrying about

any rhetorical concerns. What I love most about the technique is that it is an easy technique to be

used by anyone as it is not that complicated. It also enables the writer to have the freedom of
choosing a prompt that the essay will rely on. However, the downside of the technique is that the

writer can digress from the main point of view in the long run.
