Very important: When using two Power supplies on the same machine, they have to form two separate groups
with their respective drives. Only the Sercos ring, if there is one, may be common to both groups.
The "Power Supply" module must be capable of supplying the peak power
required by all the Drive + Motor combinations connected to it. kW Reference

Mains voltage
The Fagor Servo Drive system requires 400-460 Vac.
Transformer:
The transformer or autotransformer being used must be of the power:
( 1 + 2 ) x 1.05 (kW) = 4 (kW)
Very important: when using an isolation transformer, the secondary must be of the star type its mid point being accessible so
it can be connected to ground.

If the energy returned to the Drives (due to motor braking) is so large that it cannot be
dissipated by the Ballast resistor of the Power Supply, it is necessary to increase the power
of the resistor by means of an external module (external Ballast resistor).

The control circuits of the modular Power Supply and Drives require 24 Vdc. If the Power
DDS Servo System
Supply doesn’t offer that voltage (see page 15 in this document), use the Auxiliary Power
Supply APS 24.
Compact Modules, PS-25Bx or XPS Systems DO NOT require the Auxiliary Power Supply APS 24.
Portable Programming Module for transferring and storing parameters, adjusting the servo
system and monitoring variables.
The DDS PROG MODULE reference includes the cable and connectors
for the communications line and the mechanical adapters for the rails.
For adjusting and monitoring Drive parameters and variables, Fagor supplies a PC software in
R
two 3½’’ floppy disks. This software runs on Windows 95.
The set of system elements, their installation and setup are described in a manual.
