product). Realize in vitro assay (consumer safety) to predict irritation dermal and ocular of cosmetic test
samples (L’bel, Esika, Cy-Zone, others). Responsible for the maintenance of the cell culture laboratory,
media preparation-stock solutions, microbiology agars and supplement augmentation, archiving liquid
nitrogen stored cell lines. Testing In-vitro sunscreen efficacy (SPF, UVA/UVB and waterproof
determination). Maintained and calibrated laboratory equipment including autoclaves, balances, incubators
and waterbaths, pH meters. Updating internal documentation (procedures, instructions, schedules, formats)

Scientific assistant Eficacy and Sensorial Lab, Consumer Innovation Department

Belcorp-Colombia
August 2011 to February 2016

Served as a Laboratory Assistant utilizing my background in Cosmetology for testing of cosmetic and
consumer care products, served as a Clinical Research Coordinator on various Dermatological studies.
Assisted the Study Director and Investigator with the administration of clinical trials as specified in the study
protocol. Developed methods and implemented in-house studies to assess product attributes and provide
labeling claims  Enrolled test subjects as per inclusion criteria specified in the study protocol. Informed
consent forms during the enrollment of test subjects. In some cases evaluating adverse event forms.
Performed safety and efficacy testing of cosmetic products: by collecting data using visual assessments,
digital photography, and bioinstrumentation associated to cosmetic testing. Monitored in-phase study
activities to ensure compliance with the study protocol, Informed Consent requirements, Standard
Operating Procedures and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH)
guidelines. Assist the scientific in Sensory evaluation techniques for personal care products, make up and
cosmetics. Supervised and trained incoming researchers. Performed data analysis and statistical reporting
using Excel; Ran tests such as ANOVA, MLR and t-tests. Assisted in market analysis (benchmarking) and
performing comparison testing to competitor products. Performed study close-out procedures , organizing
the transfer of data and study files for statistical analysis, medical writing and quality assurance audit and
communicating study progress and results to the study formulator.
