3. (a) Find all the local maxima, local minima and saddle points of the function

5. (a) Show that the following equation represents the equation of a parabola.
Hence, find the vertex, focus, equation of directrix, equation of axis of
symmetry, length of the latus rectum. Also sketch the graph.
