Please follow the instructions below that need to be completed in EmployFlorida.

Uploading eligibility documents

1. Log into your EFM

2. In dashboard area click on Quick Menu

3. Hover over and go to “My Portfolio”

4. Then chose “My Individual Profiles”

5. Then chose “Personal Profile”

6. Click on “Documents” then allow the screen to refresh.

7. Upload eligibility documents on at a time

Entering background information

1. Log into your EFM

2. In dashboard area click on Quick Menu

3. Hover over and go to “My Portfolio”

4. Choose the background TAB


5. Completely enter core background items on Education and Training, Occupation
Licenses and Certificates, Employment History, Job Skills, and Tools and Technology then
complete background wizard
WIOA Program Application Steps
All steps must be complete in order to be considered for enrollment into the WIOA Program

Please remember that WIOA is a work first program. Job Searching is a requirement.

Step #1: Updated Profile on EmployFlorida (www.employflorida.com)

A: Register or sign in on EmployFlorida’s website.

B: Upload or create an updated, valid Resume

C: Complete the Self-Assessment Profile:

D: Complete the following Skills and Values questions:

1: Job Skills: Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Edit Job Skills.

There are 14 Job Skills Categories (Go into each category and check all that apply: Interest and
Skills). Save and continue after completing each category:

2: Personal Skills

3: Interests

4: Work Values

5: Tools and Technology


E: Virtual Recruiter (Save your Job Search)

Steps: Quick Menu > My Portfolio> My Individual Plans> Employment Plan Profile>

Click Virtual Recruiter tab > Create new Job Alert:

*Enter Keywords for Job Titles that you want sent to your email then hit search at the top.

F: Financial Plan Profile

1: Overall Budget

Steps: Quick Menu > My Portfolio> My Individual Plans>Financial Plan Profile>

Overall Budget Planning

Step #2: Review the WIOA Documentation Checklist (in folder) and gather all original documents that apply to you.

Step #3: Come to the nearest CareerSource Broward location for the WIOA Eligibility Orientation. Bring all documents
from the checklist to expedite your review process.

Additional Steps

You may be asked to complete the following steps for further

review of your enrollment into the WIOA program.

Examples of these steps are below:

1. Review the list of approved courses and schools at:

2. Apply for Federal Financial Aid. You must first be considered for the Pell Grant prior to
receiving a tuition scholarship through WIOA. Below is the website to apply for the Pell
Grant:

https://fafsa.ed.gov

*If you already have your Bachelor’s degree (or higher) you do not have to
complete this step.

*Not all schools accept the Pell Grant.

3. Complete two (2) CSBD workshops. Recommended workshops are:


a. Resume
b. Interview
c. Broward Online Job Board
d. Money Management
e. Career Pathways
f. Professional Placement Network (PPN)

4. Complete the Assessment that applies to you:


a. TABE Assessment (The Adult Basic Education)
b. Career Scope
c. eSkills
