A good diet is of the utmost importance for children. Many believe that school will be able to
educate kids with a balanced, healthy diet, while others argue that it is the job for parents. In
this essay, I will investigate the evidence to both claim and express my own opinion.
On the one hand, there are several benefits to children studying about diets at school. First, it is
certain that the curriculums regarding nutrition at school are more in depth and well designed
than what parents could provide. As the lessons are taught to a large number of children the
course would have to be approved by the government and experts, guaranteeing its suitability
to be taught to children and is academically sound. In addition, students can also learn how to
eat healthily at school. For instance they are trained to wash hands before eating and taught to
eat meals at the appropriate and correct time of the day, etcetera.
On the other hands, points can be made for why parents play a major role in educating their
children about meal also. As they interact closely with their children at mealtime, parents are
perceived by their kids as the role model for table etiquette. Children observe and imitate their
parents’ behavior, and therefore parents heavily influence how their offsprings behave at the
table or prepare food for example. Moreover, parents are more adept to give advices about
diets to their children. As parents are more familiar with their kids’ favourite food, understand
their tastes and know of their afflictions such as allergy or dislike of particular ingredients, they
can always provide their younglings with the best advices on their diets.
In conclusion, I believe that both school and parents play important roles in the education of
diets and meals to children, and therefore a joint effort between school and parents to educate
them on diets and meals would be the most beneficial to the children.

Tradition is an important aspect to any culture. Many believe that it is the job of younglings to
uphold it while others believe they should be able to have freedom to express themselves. In
this essay I will carefully examine both views and reveal my own conclusion.
On the one hand, there are important reasons why young people should keep the tradition
going. First, it is clear that as the latest generation youngsters have the responsibility to
preserve history and cultural values. Traditions native to each culture, such as old bards and
tales, or traditional clothings, if not valued and preserved by the latest generation, will slowly
disappear and fade into obscurity, killing the culture, a massive loss for the world. In addition,
those who follows traditional customs are more sociable. Old customs such as communal
gathering on special occasions, visiting relatives and acquaintances in new year’s eve, allow
people to get to know each others better, bring about mutual understanding and camaraderie.
On the other hand, it is important that an individual be able to express themselves freely. It is
obvious that being one’s selves bring a positive feeling and is a great source of happiness. Being
able to let go of old, rigid and boring customs of old allow one to truly relax, and therefore lead
to happiness and fulfilment. Moreover, living free also lead to a more creative mind and soul.
The old, rigid and boring old tradition as mentioned above can heavily dampen one’s creativity,
as such individuals would be bind by the old mindset of traditions, therefore letting go of such
allows one to truly let fly their creativity.
In conclusion, while traditions plays and important role in everyone’s lives, being able to be free
of the limitations of traditions also plays a not so minor role. Therefore, I believe that a mix of
old traditions with the infusions of new creative minds would be the best for the long term.
