Question 1:
Radio frequency identification (RFID) has been integrated in a wide variety of modern
applications. Students in computer science can learn a great deal about hardware and
software by working on projects involving RFID. Study a research paper that contain
some practical application of RFID. Summarize work of that research paper in your own
words. Also provided reference of your selected research paper.

Answer:
In this paper “Application of RFID Technology for Logistics on Internet of Things”, As
describe by Chunling Sun, RFID is a prospective automatic identification method, being
considered by many as one of the most permeant computing technologies in history. RFID is
based on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or RFID
transporters. An automatic identification technology such as an Auto-ID system based on RFID
technology is an important asset for inventory systems for two reasons. First of all, the
visibility provided by this technology allows an accurate knowledge of inventory level by
eliminating the difference between inventory record and physical inventory. Secondly, RFID
technology can prevent or reduce sources of errors. Benefits of using RFID technology include
the reduction of labor costs, the simplification of business processes and the reduction of
inventory inaccuracies. In recent years, with the rise of the second generation of the Internet of
Things, integrating the RFID technology and the Internet of Things and using them to the
monitoring and anti-counterfeiting for products in the supply chain can make the most use of
the advantage of the RFID technology, and the enterprises can achieve real visualization
management in products. Therefore, our country enterprises should actively promote the
development process of the RFID technology and the Internet of Things and make them as
boosters in the management of supply chains.
