In lieu of DepEd Order NO.10”Policy Guidelines for the Comprehensive Water


Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in school WINs Program, Dadda Elementary
School pupils demonstrated the correct hand washing thru Maam Bernadette Basal
WINS Coordinator on October 15,2019. The said activity reminded all children on
proper hygiene especially on hand washing as one of the safety preventions against
COVID 19 which the Department of Health is recommending.

The WINs policy also aims to ensure correct knowledge and understanding among
learners of effective hygiene and sanitation projects, improve equitable access to
safe water, adequate toilets, and hand washing facilities, improve hygiene and
sanitation practices among the learners to enable them to develop life-long positive
hygiene and sanitation behaviors, ensure that schools are kept clean and safe
through school-based solid waste management, proper drainage, the elimination of
breeding grounds for mosquitoes to prevent vector-borne diseases, and food
sanitation, and engage public and private partners for program implementation and
sustainability.

Meanwhile Dr. Cleofe Mary Jane D. Torres, Medical Officer 3, and Leilanie T.
Mangabat, Nurse 2 of the Division of Tuguegarao City discuss and demonstrates
the proper tooth brushing, hand sanitation and kuto alis”among pupils including
the teaching staff of Dadda Elementary School.
