Dear student,

When reading the book Electricity the 15 power words help you because they can simply break down parts that
are complex. They are only capable using the right one at the right time. Throughout the whole 15 power word
project, we students did assignments that included using the 15 power words.

Things we did in the project. At the beginning of the project we had to read a book that you and your partner
choose. To read it efficiently at sometime I had to analyze, to break down, because I didn’t know one of the words.
When analyzing the book, it took away a group of words. I only had a couple words left which could give me clues
on what the word meant. There were still many things we did. When we created an outline for the book, we had to
breakdown parts that could be put in an outline. Then you had to write a summary of the book you read. You
could include detail from your outline to help. What we did was we broke down the whole book, 60 pages, into two
or three passages. We had to trace the steps of the lightened past. Basically, we took important dates from the
book, and put it in the timeline. We learned to trace the steps from the past to the present. Because we know what
the book is mostly about, we had to create a book report that contained the overview, the purpose of the book, the
background, the evaluation and the summary. These were just the beginning steps that were the easiest because it
was part of the beginning of a new project.

There are still many other assignments that we students had to use. The comic strip was one of them, and it was
sort of easy. It required you to infer, read between the lines, while creating a comic strip about your book. Along
the lines of the comic strip there were pictures we had to create that were made in Read, Write, and Think’s
Graffiti. The pictures had to be pictures that were in the book that basically had a meaning. This helped visualize
and describe something which was two of the 15 power words. We had a anticipation guide in Google docs which
helped us predict what would happen next. We had to pick statements that were arguable. There only had to be
ten, and then we had to do two letters which one was how you felt about completing the project and tell how you
used the 15 power words in your story. The last thing we had to do was create a skit or rap about the 15 power
words. Mrs. Watts gave us a free choice. All of these assignments were complete and not too hard.

Overall, the assignments showed you an idea on how you use the 15 power words. It helped you practice them
and get better at them, so when you need help, you can rely on them. If you use the 15 words, you will achieve more
in life.

Sincerely Yours,
Cody Lynch
