A ELETRICAL SCIENCE FAIR

It was a beautiful Wednesday morning which including the birds singing, the
fog disappearing, and the aluminous sun glaring down at open dry fields. The day
was March 18, 2008, the biggest day to Mr. Jackson besides his wedding, and he
was getting exited for what was happening at 10:35 A.M. On his calendar
marked The Electric Science Fair.
When Mr. Jackson got to Barber Middle school, he found all seven
students that applied to his class with their posters ready and their everyday
items that require electricity to work. “Ok class. You know this is a big day for
Michael… um I mean Mr. Jackson.” said the principal Mrs. Grapewiser. The
principle continues “The rules are” “Bla bla bla we all know I’m going to win” A
student named Emir which is the smartest student in the class and always wins
the science fair cuts off the principal. “We already know what the rules are it has
to use electricity” said Josh.
At the electric science fair, there were schools from other counties as
judges. There were posters that stated all the things that had to do with
electricity. For example, Awtrey, Palmer, and Durham students had presented
their posters with good conductors such as copper and aluminum. “Let’s start
judging” Geurlens one they walked by was about the carrying currents. It
showed that metals are a good conductor. Emir created an electroscope he took
one of the pieces of copper from another student’s project to prove that it can
test if it’s a good conductor. The josh’s project tested the toner of a printer and I
think the judges were imprested because they did not know it was negatively
charged so they ended the judging there on the spot. They declared that the
josh’s project won 1st place Geurlens won 2nd and Tyler won 3rd. emir was so mad
that he lost so he vowed to win next year.
