Subject : Observance of Nationwide Synchronized Flag Raising
Ceremony on 28 May 2019
In observance of the upcoming celebration of the National Flag Day and the 121%
Anniversary of Philippine Independence, this Department, including its sectoral
offices and attached agencies, as part of the public sector has committed to
participate in the Nationwide Synchronized Flag Raising Ceremony” scheduled
this month to support the “Salute to a Clean Flag Movement.”
In this regard, your respective offices are respectfully instructed to accomplish the
following:
(1) Conduct a flag ceremony including the “Pagpupugay” on Tuesday, 28
May 2019, at 8:00 a.m,
(2) Ensure proper display of clean flag in all offices in accordance with the
Heraldic Code;
(3) Display the “Stop and Salute” posters on your office bulletins, billboards
and LED boards; and
(4) Share the “Stop and Salute” advertisement photos on social media.
Moreover, all transportation terminals, toll ways, train stations, ports, and airports
are also directed to play the National Anthem through their respective public
advertisements systems at full volume exactly at 8:00 am. on the same date.
