ABOUT THE COURSE
Admissions open Master of Human Resource Management
for 2021-2023 (MHRM) is the flagship postgraduate course of
the Department of Humanities and Social
Sciences (HSS), Indian Institute of Technology
Kharagpur. Born as an M. Tech course in HR in
1982, and in 2010 was rebranded as Master of
Human Resource Management (2 year
programme) – a specialized program in HR
melding technical expertise with managerial
acumen to form socially conscientious leaders.

 Program Details Eligibility Criteria
Name: Master of Human Resource Management Graduate in Engineering, or Postgraduate in any subject
Course Commencement: July 2021
GE /NC-OBC: Minimum of 60% marks (or CGPA of 6.5 on a
Duration: 2 years, full time
10 point scale)
Number of seats: 38
SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 55% marks (or CGPA of 6.0 on a
Selection Procedure 10 point scale)

Shortlisting based on CAT scores and academic profile,
followed by PI (Personal Interview).
Course Fee
The admission and tuition fees per semester is Rs.75,000/-
excluding hostel, mess, and establishment charges.
SC/ST/PwD candidates are exempted from tuition fees.
For or both the above cases, if the CGPA is on a
different scale than 10.0, the eligibility of the candidates
will be calculated corresponding to the equivalence
stated above.
CGPA will not be converted into percentage marks if the
degree awarding institute provides marks in CGPA
