Online Car Rental / Car Booking Portal - ASP.NET + C# + SQL Server

Abstract:

The Online Car Rental System is easy to use, full-featured and flexible car booking, car listing
and car rental web portal. It allows Administrators of this car rental website you can add new or
change locations, vehicle pictures, rate card. The eCarRental System provides complete functionality
of listing and booking car.

To automate calculate total amount based on booking date and rate master. Saves the booking
and can retrieve the reservation any time.

Administrator can manage vehicles, location and rate details from web based control panel,
owner of cars can view the booking from online interface. System supports any numbers of vehicles
and location.

System should have built in security features to handle different security threat like SQL
injection, cross scripting, spamming..

 Automatic tariff calculation, calculates no of days, retrieve the rate as per car type, add
additional offers.
 Powerful validation system checks all the entered data are valid as per business logic.
 Administrator and owner can view the booking details online.
 System has powerful logical access management in place to access the control panel, each user
must be identified by login id and strict password policy is applied to secure the system

Browse and Search cars, booking and confirmation page, printing booking details, listing of
vehicles, calculating the tariff, booking history, location master, car type and rate master, upload
vehicle images. mange user access..

Limitations of the Software:

This project was developed to fulfill user requirement; however there are lots of scope to
improve the performance of the Online Car rental System in the area of user interface, database
performance, and query processing time. Etc.

Future Enhancements:

 Linking and integration of other online payment gateway web sites.

 Sending SMS from system to customers for booking information
 To optimize the query which is embedded in the system.
