—G 3126— JIS G 313 Carbon steel plates for pressure vessels for low temperature service Introduction This revision has been made so that in order to correspond to JIS 7 2242 complied with ISO 148 : 1983 Stee!—Charpy impact test (V-notch) in Which when the test value exceeds 80 % of capacity of impact tester in the Charpy impay test, the value is made invalid, in the case of such a high-tenacity steel, subsize test pieces can be used. 1 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the hot-rolled carbon sf plates (hereafter referred to as "steel plates") to be used for pressure vessels pressure equipment for low temperature service. sions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of ‘this Standard. The most recent editions of the standards (including amendments) shall be applied. 3 Classification and symbol Steel plates shall be classified into 6 grades. cording to yield point or proof stress and lowest service temperatures available” and their symbols shall be as given in table 1 Table 1 Symbol of grade Symbol of grade “Application SLA 235 A 6mm or more up to and incl.
