Southwest Airlines is one of the top companies that are popular right now, to be

successful in the airlines and came to be so late in the industry. Southwest airlines are one of the

second largest domestic airlines after Delta airlines. Its headquarters is in Dallas Texas and

Southwest airlines has maintained a high reputation and does well financially. Based on my

research and the examples I am about to give below will be able to show us the way an

organization is supposed to work and function well to grow.

Firstly, Southwest Airlines in the case of luggage fess was able to give people these free

and this has what has attracted people to them and which led to their immense success and

customer satisfaction. Instead of the customers paying for luggage after paying their normal

flight fees, these come with like a free bag. Also, Southwest adapted the method that uses non

stop flying between locations. So instead of the hassle of stopping at different airports is gone,

but instead a direct flight. This also attracts people to them and makes them successful.

Operationally, Southwest Airlines makes sure their flights are accurately on time arrives on

time for their customers. Which ensures the happiness of their customer’s happiness. They also

have a no-frills strategy, which made the in air operations of the flight’s work. They allow

customers to travel at a very cheap rate as compared to the average prices for other flights. The

no-frill strategy helped in reducing cost significantly which everyone wants, making it the

preferred number one choice of the consumers. Southwest Airline employees are also the highest

paid in the country. Southwest has about fewer employees per aircraft than its competitors, like

American Airlines, Delta Airlines, JetBlue, and so on and it makes sure it keeps keeping them

happy.
