Spell Your Name Workout

For this workout we will be integrating spelling and math into this week’s
workout. I suggest doing this brief work out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to
go along with the physical activity of your choice.
A rep is one movement- like one jumping jack. A set is a group of those movements.
Each day you do this workout you should add 5 more reps to each set. For example- on
Monday we will be doing 10 reps in each set. On Tuesday we will add 5 more to the set-
10+5=15. On Friday we will add 5 more reps to each set-, 15+5= 20.
We always begin with a warm up and end with a cool down.

A- 10 ½ Jacks
B- 10 Push Ups
C- 10 Soldiers
D- 10 arm circles
E- 10 Push Ups
F- 10 Jumping Jacks
G- 10 High Knee Kicks
H-Run in place for one minute
I- 10 push ups
J- 10 Burpees
K- 10 Mountain Climbers
L- 10 Air Squats
M- X Jumps
N-Run in place for one minute
O-1 minute plank
P- 10 Burpees
Q. 10 Mountain Climbers
R. 10 Roman Twists
S. 10 Air Squats
T. 10 Push Ups
U. 10 Tricep Dips
V. 10 Jumping Jacks
W. 10 High Knee Kicks
X. 10 ½ Jacks
Y. 10 Jumping Jacks
Z. 10 Push Ups

So for Monday Coach L is going to go down the list and do the

exercises in my name for 1 set of 10. On Wednesday I will do each
exercise for 1 set of 15, and on Friday I will do each exercise
spelling my name for 1 set of 20.

Have fun. Always warm up, cool down, and stay hydrated.

 Little vocabulary:
 Triceps, the muscles in the back of your arm. Notice the
beginning of the word the prefix- “tri” tri means 3- like a
tricycle has 3 wheels.
 Quadriceps- quad means 4. A quad racer has 4 wheels, your
quadriceps are the muscles in the front of your upper thigh.
There are 4 muscles that make up your quadriceps.
 Biceps- think of a bicycle. How many wheels are on a bicycle?
That’s how many muscles make up your biceps- those are the
muscles in the front of your upper arms.

I think it is so cool that we use a lot of math in PE!

Please make sure that you do this work out 3 times this week and
add it to your fitness log- to go along with all the other fun stuff
you are doing.
