1. RATIONALE
This course will enable students to develop the skills required to use basic analog electronics
devices and circuits. Through the study of this course the students will understand the
construction, working, characteristics and applications of various types of electronics
components like UJT, JFET, MOSJFET and circuits such as feedback amplifier, oscillators,
power Amplifiers, operational amplifier and timer using linear ICs.

2. COMPETENCY
The course content should be taught and implemented with the aim to develop different types
of skills leading to the achievement of following competency:
 Analyse analog circuits consisting of active electronic components.

6. SUGGESTED LIST OF PRACTICAL EXERCISES/EXPERIMENTS

The practical/exercises should be properly designed and implemented with an attempt to


develop different types of skills so that students are able to acquire the competency.
Following is the list of experiments for guidance. Minimum twenty four experiments must be
performed using hardware and at least ten experiments must be simulated using simulators
like Circuitmaker/ MultiSIM or any equivalent simulator.

Radio/Television/Home theatre.
