Ivy Ganda: Hi Good Evening, I know you already know but I still wanted to narrate the flaws that IPOPHIL
need to fix based on my experience

Macko: Okay, go on Ms-----

Ivy Ganda: I have a problem in our Intellectual property office as they declined to give me a grant of
patent. It is so unfair as the process is quite long to think that I’ve already obtain a US patent na dapat
nga formality nalang ang pagpapasa ko and quickly processed na dapat since it is under the treaties that
Philippines have long time signatory. I’ve already paid filing fees and everything they’ve requiring me to
do. I’m really disappointed as my time is being wasted, there are some opportunity cost that affecting
my income and I feel that my work is not safe here.

Macko: Upang masagot ang iyong hinaing, Ang ating Director General Mr. Jpanot ay nasa kabilang linya,
Good Evening Mr-------

(Arte ka na medyo nawawala sa linya)

Jp: Good Evening, Ms Ivy and Mr. Macko can you hear me?

Macko: May nais po ba kayong bigyang linaw pa Ms. Ganda

Ivy: Yes, Isn’t there an automatic Philippine approval as it is registered already in other
foreign countries since nasa iisang treaty naman tayo?

Jp: I’m sorry for the inconvenience that you experienced Ms. Ganda, in our jurisdiction there
are several differences when it come to Intellectual Property and there are following
procedures to follow especially on the grant of patent in order for it to be registered. Under
Sec 32 of the Intellectual Property Code of RA 8293.

Ivy: Okay, I understand but I am certain that I didn’t decline any responsibility in terms of
your procedure requirements, Ano pa bang kulang ko?

Jp: NAPAKAHABA NITO PERO SESEND KO SA’YO YUNG FILE NG MGA NAKAINDICATE DITO MWAH
Ivy: I’ve already done my part, how can you say that there is a missing documents for my
grant of patent?

Jp: In the process, there are examinations to be considered bago ma issue ang grant of
patent. We ensure na kumpleto and maayos ang procedures sa pag grant. If there are missing
documents our office will give notification to you and requesting for the document needed. it
undergoes the process of Classification and Search in which we examine the documents that
were passed in the first place, it also undergo the process in substantive examination in which
this step while re examine the application of the previous steps. In which case our office will
provide the missing documents that are required for the grant of patent. (Alibi na ‘to about sa
pagpapaganda ng IPOPHIL keme)

Macko: Are there still concerns you want to tackle, Ms. Ganda?

Ivy: No, I already understand and I think we can settle it in their office

Macko: Thank you so much to the both of you, Fuck u all
